NCT ID: NCT05458635 Completed - Clinical trials for Pulmonary Hypertension

Predictors of Pulmonary Hypertension in Patients With Hypersensitivity Pneumonitis

Start date: August 1, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Hypersensitivity pneumonitis (HP) is a complex immune mediated disorders caused by repeated inhalation of and sensitization to wide range of antigens including organic particles and chemical compounds, leading to exaggerated immuneresponse. Hypersenstivity pneumonitis is a common form of diffuse parenchymal lung diseases in Egypt .Pulmonary hypertension has been found as a complication of a number of diseases affecting the lung interstitium, including hypersensitivity pneumonitis, with subsequent affection of the life expectancy Rationale of the study: to find predictors for the development of pulmonary hypertension in patients with hypersensitivity pneumonitis

NCT ID: NCT05457504 Not yet recruiting - Preeclampsia Clinical Trials

Blood Pressure Monitoring in Postpartum Women at Risk of Hypertension

Start date: July 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Cardiovascular disease and hypertensive disorders of pregnancy (HDP) are the leading causes of maternal morbidity and mortality in the United States. Postpartum, in office care has demonstrated to be an insufficient model of hypertensive management postpartum, largely due to barriers that women face in accessing in office care, with stark racial disparities in access. The care of postpartum patients with HDP following delivery is made up of either a single postpartum visit at 6 weeks postpartum or a fragmented and non-standardized series of in-person appointments depending on the patients' medical complications and the clinicians' experience. Further, current society guidelines outline inpatient thresholds for initiation of antihypertensive medication but do not provide recommendations for titration thereafter. The proposed study will investigate the acceptability and effectiveness of an algorithm-based, outpatient treatment model for the management of postpartum hypertension utilizing an asynchronous text-based platform as compared to the standard of care for postpartum women with a diagnosis of Hypertensive disorder of pregnancy at Massachusetts General Hospital.

NCT ID: NCT05456906 Recruiting - Hypertension Clinical Trials

Avoidable Hospitalizations/ Emergency Department Visits- Systematic Review and Meta-synthesis of Qualitative Research

Start date: June 1, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The aim of the study is to synthesize qualitative evidence related to preventable hospitalizations/ emergency department visits from the perspectives of patients, their families/caregivers, health care providers, and stakeholders, in the hope to identify generalizable conclusions about why social risk factors matter to preventable hospitalizations/ emergency department visits

NCT ID: NCT05456724 Active, not recruiting - Ocular Hypertension Clinical Trials

A Study to Investigate the Effect of IOP-lowering With TO-O-1001 Eye Drops in Healthy Subjects and in Patients With Open-Angle Glaucoma or Ocular Hypertension

Start date: August 4, 2022
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is a Phase I/II stage to investigate the safety, tolerability, and ocular hypotensive efficacy of TO-O-1001 in healthy volunteers and patients with Open-Angle Glaucoma or Ocular Hypertension. The proposed trial consists of 3 study parts to be conducted at Nucleus Network Melbourne. This study will enroll up to 34 evaluable healthy volunteers in part 1(SAD) and part 2(MD) and 16 evaluable patients with Open-Angle Glaucoma or Ocular Hypertension in part 3(MD). Note- As of 14Mar2023, enrolment has been completed for Part 1 and Part 2 and recruitment is pending now for Part 3.

NCT ID: NCT05453877 Recruiting - Hypertension Clinical Trials

Clinical Indicators and Brain Image Data: a Study Based on Kailuan Cohort

Start date: August 1, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The investigators will analyze the relationship between the medical history, physiological indicators and the cerebral small vessel disease as well as the structural and functional changes of the brain/head and neck organs in a large sample size of subjects (participants), to identify the influencing factors of the occurrence and development of cerebral small vessel disease as well as the structural and functional changes of the brain/head and neck organs, so as to provide objective clues for early intervention of the disease and improve clinical outcomes.

NCT ID: NCT05452889 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension

PET Image in PAH Patients

Start date: January 31, 2023
Phase: Early Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) is mortal disease affecting the blood vessels of the lung. Despite its morbid prognosis, PAH is often misdiagnosed or ignored, with an average time of 44 months between onset of symptoms to diagnosis and substantial progression of disease severity. Therefore, a pressing need exists to develop non-invasive diagnostic imaging tools, particularly that can detect early disease stages. Efforts have been made to develop such imaging capabilities through platform development of echocardiography, cardiac MRI, chest computed tomography (CT), and positron emission tomography (PET), among others. While some have demonstrated promise, few have shown a precise ability to offer disease quantifications of the diseased lung and vasculature itself, to detect early stages of disease, and to reflect alterations of the lung, vasculature, and right ventricle that reflect the molecular origins of this disease. [F-18]FGln has been previously utilized in oncology studies as a non-invasive in vivo imaging biomarker of tumor glutamine flux and metabolism. Our preliminary in vivo pre-clinical rodent studies demonstrated that [F-18]FGln demonstrated increased uptake in diseased pulmonary vessels and the right ventricle in a rodent model of PAH. The proposed research study will provide preliminary evidence of the potential to utilize [F-18]FGln as a non-invasive imaging biomarker of glutamine flux and metabolism across a range of PAH subjects.

Comparison of Continuous Non-invasive All Vital Signs Monitoring Devices With Invasive Gold Standard for Children

VT
Start date: January 15, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

In this clinical study, the investigator will compare vital signs measurements obtained using the non-invasive, wireless VitalTracert monitoring devices (both a VT-Watch and a VT-Patch) to a proprietary continuous physiological data collection tool in 40 patients including 16 patients with an invasive arterial line catheter (radial or femoral) at the pediatric intensive care unit.

An Observational Study to Evaluate Effectiveness and Safety of Amosartan Q Tablet

Start date: April 17, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This study was to evaluate the therapeutic effect and safety of amosartan Q tablet administration in adult patients with hypertension and dyslipidemia. During the routine medical visit, Amosartan Q tablets were administered to patients in need of blood pressure/LDL-C control according to the investigator's judgment. In this study, effectiveness and safety information of treatment of Amosartan Q tablets was followed for 6 months (up to 12 months), and observation of the target patients was terminated after collecting relevant data. As this study was a non-interventional observational study, all patients received prescriptions according to the routine treatment procedure, and there were no visits or procedures required according to the observational study protocol.
