The goal of this study involving a wearable magnetic flux device is to study the impact of static magnetic flux on blood pressure control in hypertensive and normotensive populations. The main objectives are: 1. Study the safety and efficacy of static magnetic flux on blood pressure control in normal and hypertensive patients. 2. Incorporate this into a portable, wearable device to increase availability and outreach. Participants will be required to wear a wearable BP device, an ambulatory BP and answer a questionnaire for this study. Researchers will compare between hypertensive and normotensive groups to achieve objective of this study.
Assessment of the prognostic value of the estimation of plasma volume or its variation in patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) or chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH) after acute right heart failure.
Background: Pregnancy-induced hypertension (PIH) is responsible for most perinatal and fetal mortality. Few programs are patient-centered during pregnancy, increasing the risks of misinformation and misconceptions among pregnant women and, as a result, malpractices. Objective: This study aims to develop and validate a form to assess the knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women about PIH.
The study will test the efficacy of drug eluting balloon(DEB) for non-atherosclerotic renal artery stenosis. The DEB (paclitaxel eluting balloon) will be used in the intervention group, while the plain old balloon(POB) will be used in the control group. The primary outcome is the effect of blood pressure control.
The investigators will pilot test a hypertension self-management intervention for feasibility and acceptability. The investigators will enroll adults (age ≥18) with uncontrolled hypertension, identified from the electronic health record. In this feasibility trial, the research aim is to explore trial design, participant acceptability of the intervention and outcome measures, and to generate data to inform the design of a future randomized controlled trial.
The goal of this clinical trial is to determine the impact of a home-delivered foods and kitchen skills program on health and nutrition in adults with high blood pressure and food insecurity. Researchers will compare Food Resources & Kitchen Skills (FoRKS) and Enhanced Usual Care (EUC) to evaluate the effects on mean systolic blood pressure (SPB), HbA1c, food security and nutrition. Participants will complete 24-hr blood pressure monitoring, standard blood pressure measurements, weight, blood draw, and questionnaires.
