Study type: Interventional

This clinical investigation is a prospective, multicenter, non-randomized, open-label, Early Feasibility Study to evaluate the safety, performance, and initial clinical efficacy of the Rivet PVS therapy in patients with symptomatic pulmonary hypertension.

NCT ID: NCT05203510 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension

A Study of a Mean Pulmonary Artery Pressure-Targeted Approach With Early and Rapid Treprostinil Therapy to Reverse Right Ventricular Remodeling in Participants With Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension

ARTISAN
Start date: August 10, 2022
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

The primary objective of this study is to assess the effect of early and rapid treprostinil therapy for mean pulmonary artery pressure (mPAP) reduction to improve right ventricular (RV) function and reverse RV remodeling in participants with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH).

NCT ID: NCT05202067 Completed - Type 2 Diabetes Clinical Trials

Impact of Pharmaceutical Education on Medication Adherence

Start date: January 1, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Purpose. To evaluate the impact of pharmaceutical education in patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and Systemic Arterial Hypertension on their medication adherence. Material and research methods. Randomized clinical trial with a control group with a duration of 6 months of follow-up. Patients with a diagnosis of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus andWE Systemic Arterial Hypertension treated in the internal medicine outpatient of a school hospital will be included. Adherence to medication will be evaluated using Morisky's 8-item medication adherence scale. The investigators believe that Pharmaceutical education increases therapeutic adherence in patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and Systemic Arterial Hypertension.

NCT ID: NCT05199129 Completed - Hypertension Clinical Trials

Clinical Efficacy and Safety Evaluation of HCP1904-3 in Essential Hypertension Patients

Start date: November 17, 2021
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate of efficacy and safety of HCP1904-3 and RLD2001-1 alone in patients with essential hypertension inadequately controlled on RLD2001-1 monotherapy.

NCT ID: NCT05198674 Recruiting - Hypertension Clinical Trials

SPYRAL AFFIRM Global Study of RDN With the Symplicity Spyral RDN System in Subjects With Uncontrolled HTN

Start date: October 20, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this single-arm interventional study is to evaluate the long-term safety, efficacy, and durability of the Symplicity Spyral system in subjects treated with renal denervation. Additionally, long-term follow-up data will also be collected from eligible subjects previously treated in the SPYRAL PIVOTAL-SPYRAL HTN-OFF MED and SPYRAL HTN-ON MED studies.

NCT ID: NCT05198206 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Pulmonary Hypertension

Pregnant Women With Pulmonary Hypertension in China

Start date: November 1, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Little is known about the status of maternal, obstetric and neonatal complications and the potential predictors of developing heart failure (HF) in the mothers with pulmonary hypertension in China. Eligible samples were screened from January, 2012 to December, 2021. Maternal clinical characteristics and in-and-out hospital outcomes were collected and compared in women with and without pulmonary hypertension. The main aims of this study are as follows: 1. To investigate the perinatal diagnosis and treatment of pregnant women with pulmonary hypertension in China over the past 10 years and the maternal and infant outcomes. 2. To explore risk factors that affect the outcome of pregnant women with pulmonary hypertension in mothers and infants. 3. To summarise effective risk stratification management protocols and construct standardised strategies for the management of pulmonary hypertension in pregnancy. 4. To establish a clinical database, biobank and follow-up cohort for pregnant women with pulmonary hypertension across China.

NCT ID: NCT05196854 Completed - Hypertension Clinical Trials

Clinical Hypnosis and Home Blood Pressure Monitoring in Children With Neurofibromatosis Type 1

Start date: May 25, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study has two primary objectives. The first is to determine if it is feasible and reliable for children and families with a diagnosis of Neurofibromatosis Type 1 (NF1) to use of blood pressure (BP) monitor at home. The second is to determine if there is a difference between a child's measured home BP using standard instructions or using a clinical hypnosis script. This will be determined by a randomised control trial design. Standard and hypnosis Home BP will be compared to the gold standard measurement of BP measured by a trained health care professional in clinic. Children who participate will complete a clinic-based BP with a health care professional, then will be randomised into either the standard home BP measurement or using a hypnosis script prior to BP measurement.

NCT ID: NCT05191160 Active, not recruiting - Obesity Clinical Trials

The Soy Treatment Evaluation for Metabolic Health (STEM) Trial

Start date: November 2, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Strategies to reduce sugar-sweetened beverages (SSB) have become one of the leading public health targets to address the epidemics of obesity and diabetes. National food, nutrition, and health policies and programs have positioned low-fat milk as the preferred caloric replacement strategy for SSBs. This strategy derives from evidence that replacement of SSBs with low-fat milk is associated with reductions in weight and incident diabetes in prospective cohort studies and reduces liver fat (an important early metabolic lesion linking obesity to diabetes), as well as triglycerides and blood pressure in randomized trials. Whether these benefits hold for soy milk alternatives is unclear. There is an urgent need for studies to clarify the benefits of soy milk as an alternative to cow's milk. Our overarching aim is to produce high-quality clinical evidence that informs the use of soy as a "public health intervention" for addressing the dual epidemics of obesity and diabetes and overall metabolic health. To achieve this aim, we propose to conduct the Soy Treatment Evaluation for Metabolic health (STEM) trial, a large, pragmatic, randomized controlled trial to assess the effect of using 2% soy milk (soy protein vehicle) versus 2% cow's milk (casein and whey vehicle matched for protein and volume) as a "public health intervention" to replace SSBs on liver fat and key cardiometabolic mediators/indicators in an at risk population.
