Filter by:The goal of this clinical trial is to compare the serum plasma measurement results between the FDA cleared TS Meter-DSP and investigational Refractix DSP. Study participants will be individuals being screened for plasma donation in a plasmaphereris center. The main question the study aims to answer is whether the measurement taken on the investigational Refractix DSP device is equivalent, defined as within +/- 0.3g/100ml, of the measurement taken on the TS Meter-DSP. Participants will be asked to provide a second capillary tube of blood (<0.085ml) from the fingerstick that is part of their routine pre-screening for plasma donation.
To Evaluate Food-Effects on Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics of Oral single dose of JP-1366 tablet in Healthy volunteers
N,N-dimethyltryptamine (DMT) is a psychoactive substance with similar effects such as LSD or psilocybin. However, DMT is less well characterized than the latter substances. The present study is a modern randomized cross-over trial, investigating different intravenous DMT boluses over a broad dose range. Thus, different doses will be tested and related to subjective and autonomic effects.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the SpO2 accuracy and performance of the Norbert Device during non-motion conditions over the range of 70-100% SaO2 as compared to arterial blood samples assessed by CO-oximetry for SpO2 validation.
The goal of this clinical trial is learn about motor imagery training (i.e. imagining a task) with healthy older adults. The main question this clinical trial aims to answer is: • Will imagining a task improve control of force during an elbow flexion muscle contraction in healthy older adults? Participants will: - Complete questionaries about general activity levels and ability to imagine tasks - Perform either motor imagery training or watch a documentary - Perform maximal and submaximal elbow flexion contractions Researchers will compare the motor imagery training with the control group to see if control of force is improved in the motor imagery training group.
This is a single-center, evaluator-blinded study in healthy adult human subjects. Single 24-hour application of sponsor(s) provided test products along with positive and negative controls will be kept in contact with the skin of subjects under occlusion for at least 24 hours (+ 2 hours). The study can be conducted in a single group. Safety will be assessed throughout the study by monitoring adverse events. The subject's back between the scapula and waist will be utilized as application sites. Application sites will be evaluated for scoring the reaction, namely, erythema, dryness, and wrinkles on a 0-4 point scale separately for each parameter and edema on another 0-4 points scale as per the Draize Scale after 30+5 minutes of patch removal, 24±2 hours and 168±2 hours after patch removal.
Young Latina women face significant barriers to sexual health and healthcare access, particularly in emerging Latino states like Alabama. The goals of the proposed study are to develop and examine the feasibility of an innovative, scalable mHealth, "safe space" intervention for Young Latina Women (YLW) in Alabama (AL) and to stimulate the conduct of behavioral research at the University of Alabama. This work is consistent with the National Institute of Nursing Research's goals of "Enhancing wellness by understanding the physical, behavioral, cultural and environmental influences on health status and developing culturally tailored interventions to prevent illness and promote health" and "Using innovative technologies to develop novel interventions that deliver personalized care and real-time health information to patients, families and healthcare providers".
The goal of this clinical trial is to test effect of dietary management program based on the nudge strategy in gestational diabetes mellitus patients. The main questions it aims to answer is whether the dietary management program is effective for the diet management behavior of gestational diabetes mellitus patients. Participants will receive a 12 week dietary management program. The intervention group will receive a diet management program based on the nudge strategy, and the control group will receive a routine dietary management program. Researchers will compare two group's glycemic control and pregnancy outcomes and to see if effective for the diet management behavior.
A Phase 1, First-in-human, Randomized, Double-blind, Placebo controlled Study to Assess the Safety, Tolerability, Pharmacokinetics, and Pharmacodynamics of DWP213388 after Single and Multiple Ascending Oral Dose Administration in Healthy Adult Subjects
The aim of this study is to determine the normative values of navicular height and navicular drop in individuals over 65 years of age. The secondary aim is to investigate the effects of age, gender, and body mass index on these normative values.
