NCT ID: NCT05604794 Completed - Depression Clinical Trials

A Retrospective Effectiveness Trial of Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy in Adult Patients Coping With Mental Health

Start date: March 13, 2020
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is a relatively new approach for the treatment of mental health issues, which involves the combination of ketamine, a dissociative anaesthetic with psychedelic properties, and psychotherapy to promote emotional wellbeing. In this study, we investigated the effectiveness of KAP in adult patients coping with mental health. We predicted that clients would experience lasting reductions in psychological distress over time, such as depression, anxiety, and post traumatic stress, that would be detectable up to 6 months after treatment. The results of this study may provide evidence of sustained real-world effects of Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy, of interest to patients, clinicians, researchers, and policymakers.

NCT ID: NCT05602688 Completed - Depression Clinical Trials

Melissa Officinalis L. Supplementation for Emotional Health and Sleep Disturbance

Start date: January 3, 2023

Study type: Interventional

This study is aimed to investigate if Lemon Balm Extract supplementation is beneficial for the relief of stress, depression and anxiety in healthy adults.

NCT ID: NCT05600504 Completed - Predictive Model Clinical Trials

Development and Validation of a Prediction Model for Depression and Anxiety in Perioperative Elderly Adults

Start date: April 1, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Anxiety and depression in later life are highly prevalent, often appear as comorbid disorders, and have many adverse consequences for both the individual and society. Given the disease burden, the large influx of new cases, and the economic costs, efforts should be made to prevent the onset of anxiety and depression in later life. Preventive interventions are likely to become more cost effective when they are targeted at elderly who have been exposed to risk factors known to be predictive of the onset of anxiety and/or depression. As the population aging is speeding up, senile diseases have become a significant and severe public health problem, influencing national health. More than 20 million elderly patients undergo surgery each year in China, accounting for a quarter of the population who undergo surgery. Therefore, it is necessary to construct a predictive model of anxiety and depression in perioperative elderly hospitalized patients

NCT ID: NCT05598697 Completed - Depression Clinical Trials

Economic Evaluation of the MEWE Intervention

MEWE-EE
Start date: September 15, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Cash transfers have shown promise in preventing intimate partner violence, and in reducing recipients' stress levels. Cash transfers with behavioral or psychological interventions have shown limited effectiveness at reducing stress in some African countries. Little is known of the cost-effectiveness of interventions delivered alongside cash transfer programs. The MEWE economic evaluation sub-study (MEWE-EE) runs alongside MEWE, a three-arm cluster-randomized controlled trial in Sindh, Pakistan. MEWE-EE will assess the costs and cost-effectiveness of delivering a cash-transfer program (BISP-CT) combined with a life-skills building curriculum (LSB curriculum), compared to the BISP-CT alone. The LSB curriculum is offered to either women who receive BISP-CT, or to women who receive BISP-CT and their husbands.

NCT ID: NCT05597241 Completed - Clinical trials for Major Depressive Disorder

Multiple Ascending Dose and Electroencephalography Trial of GATE-202 in Healthy Volunteers

Start date: October 15, 2022
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

To evaluate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics and EEG pharmacodynamics of single and multiple ascending doses of apimostinel in normal human volunteers

NCT ID: NCT05595512 Completed - Clinical trials for Development of Depression Postpartum

Postpartum Depression

Start date: January 30, 2014
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Postpartum depression (PPD) is one of the most common psychiatric complications of pregnancy and postpartum. It is often defined as an episode of depressive disorder that occurs in the postpartum period. Evidence suggests that PPD has serious consequences on the quality of life of all family members, increases the risk for familial conflicts, leaving great negative effects on maternal-infant interaction. The aim of our study was to investigate and shed the light on the determinants of development of PPD mainly maternal age among women in Jordan. We also aimed at examining additional factors on prevalence of PPD and providing more information on PPD among Jordanian mothers.

NCT ID: NCT05594212 Completed - Clinical trials for Obstructive Sleep Apnea

Abdominal Breathing for Depression, Anxiety, Heart Rate Variability in Obstructive Sleep Apnea Patients

Start date: January 25, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The research topic is to explore the effectiveness of abdominal breathing on improving of depression, anxiety, and heart rate variability in obstructive sleep apnea patients with depressive symptoms. This study method adopts an experimental research design and divided into experimental group and control group by random sampling. Experimental group receives abdominal breathing training, whereas control group without receiving abdominal breathing training.

NCT ID: NCT05593276 Completed - Depression Clinical Trials

The Preliminary Effects of Empower@Home

Start date: January 5, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This randomized pilot trial uses a waitlist control parallel design of a novel internet-based cognitive behavioral therapy program for older adults with elevated depressive symptoms. This study will enroll approximately 35 older adults per group throughout Michigan. The intervention will take approximately ten weeks to complete. Participants will have lower levels of depression after completing the intervention than before enrollment. Participants will be able to use the internet-based platform with minimal support.

NCT ID: NCT05589090 Completed - Anxiety Disorders Clinical Trials

Super Skills for Life Effectiveness in the Online Modality

Start date: October 1, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the transdiagnostic program Super Skills for Life (SSL). This protocol targets children aged 8 to 12 with emotional problems (anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and lack of social skills). SSL consists of eight sessions targeting common risk factors for internalizing disorders such as cognitive distortions, avoidance, emotional management, low self-esteem, social skills deficits, and coping strategies. The present research focuses on assessing the effectiveness of SSL applied online (through a virtual platform).

NCT ID: NCT05588622 Completed - Depression Clinical Trials

Meru Health Program for Cancer Patients With Depression and Anxiety

Start date: September 6, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The primary objective of this study is to evaluate clinical outcomes among people with cancer who participate in a 12-week therapist-supported digital mental health intervention (DMHI) called the Meru Health Program (MHP). Study participants (N=20) will be referred to the MHP through the Cancer Support Community (CSC) Helpline and network of Gilda's Club locations. The main outcomes will be depression symptoms, anxiety symptoms, health-related quality of life (HRQoL), intervention adherence, and intervention satisfaction. The secondary objective will be to determine the acceptability of the screening and referral process from the CSC networks into the MHP. Data pertaining to implementability will be collected from study participants, MHP clinicians, and CSC staff.
