Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

In this one-armed study the feasibility and effectiveness of a home treatment with transcranial direct currect stimulation in depression will be investigated.

NCT ID: NCT05122676 Active, not recruiting - Depression Clinical Trials

More Individualized Care: Assessment and Recovery Through Engagement

MI-CARE
Start date: November 10, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The MI-CARE trial tests 12 months of telephone-based nurse care management for patients with depressive symptoms who take or have taken opioids at some time. The study tests whether offering nurse support to the patient and their primary care team that addresses these things and related issues can improve patients' health and well-being. Eligible subjects are identified automatically using health system data and randomly assigned 50:50 to either a no-contact usual care arm or to the arm offered the MI-CARE program.

NCT ID: NCT05110456 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Depression, Postpartum

To Evaluate the Effectiveness of a Virtual and Telephone Intervention for the Prevention of Postpartum Depression in Women at Risk

Start date: November 9, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Women's perinatal mental health problems can create a cascade of short- and long-term negative influences for the mother, child, and the family as a whole. To prevent these impacts, preventive online and telephone interventions exist, but need to be tested and improved to develop this type of support to women in Quebec. The Parents & Babies program, which is a distance learning course, followed during pregnancy and accompanied by telephone follow-up, aims to improve the mental health of future parents. The investigators seek to evaluate the effect of the intervention of the Parents & Babies program offered with telephone support compared to the course offered without telephone follow-up.

NCT ID: NCT05096611 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Child Behavior Problem

Attachment and Biobehavioral Catch-up and Depression Treatment

ABC+D
Start date: March 1, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Maternal depression influences the development of children's behavior problems and vice versa; however most interventions singularly address maternal depression or children's behavior problems rather than both. This project assesses the efficacy of an intervention that treats both mothers and children in an integrated manner. Effects are expected to disrupt the reciprocal relations that perpetuate maternal and child mental health problems over time.

NCT ID: NCT05095662 Active, not recruiting - Depressive Disorder Clinical Trials

Establish a Specific Cohort Database for Depressive Disorders

Start date: June 1, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

Depression is characterized by high prevalence, high recurrence rate, high disability rate, high suicide rate, and heavy disease burden. However, the diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of depression are difficult to meet the clinical needs at present. This study plans to integrate a large sample of hospital clinical data, laboratory examination data, brain imaging, and electrophysiological data, as well as audio-visual data, to establish a database for depressive disorder, and long-term follow-up to form a specific disease cohort. This study will provide a scientific basis for exploring biomarkers related to objective diagnosis and treatment of depression.

NCT ID: NCT05065489 Active, not recruiting - Depression Clinical Trials

Resting State Electroencephalogram for Psychotic Disorders

Start date: September 1, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Electroencephalography (EEG) has been proposed as a neurophysiological biomarker to delineate psychotic disorders. Meanwhile, the increased appetite, which might related to self-control process, has been an increasing concern for the management of psychotic disorders. In this cross-section study, investigators collect the resting state EEG data, self-control related scale, eating behaviour questionnaire and psychotic syndrome related assessement and try to find the connection between those measurers, in order to provide novel understanding on the mechanism of psychotic diseases.

NCT ID: NCT05061706 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Major Depressive Disorder

Multicenter Study of Lumateperone as Adjunctive Therapy in the Treatment of Patients With Major Depressive Disorder

Start date: September 30, 2021
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This is a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel-group, fixed-dose study in patients with a primary diagnosis of MDD according to criteria of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM-5) who have an inadequate response to ongoing ADT.

NCT ID: NCT05061381 Active, not recruiting - Anxiety Clinical Trials

Effectiveness of a School Wellbeing Programme for Internalising Problems in Irish Primary School Children

Start date: October 11, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this study is to assess the effectiveness of a school-based multi-component universal programme for the reduction of internalising problems (i.e. anxiety and low mood) in primary school pupils.

NCT ID: NCT05050227 Active, not recruiting - Depression Clinical Trials

Improving Depression Management

IDMPC
Start date: November 1, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Depression is disabling and affects one in five Veterans. VA's Primary Care-Mental health Integration (PC-MHI) enables specialists to support medication treatment in primary care, but timely and sufficient access to psychotherapy is unattainable despite Veteran preference for psychotherapy. This study aims to close the gap in psychotherapy access for VA primary care patients with depression by adapting and pilot testing PC-MHI collaborative care models to improve uptake of computerized cognitive behavioral therapy (cCBT).

NCT ID: NCT05047081 Active, not recruiting - Depression Clinical Trials

From Intention to Action:Scoring Your College Goals

Start date: August 27, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The current study aims to prevent the developmental of mental health symptoms in first-year college students through providing a workshop aimed at preparing students for the academic, social, and personal challenges associated with typical college experiences. Specifically, the study hypothesizes that first-year student students who participate in a workshop on college readiness will report fewer symptoms of depression and anxiety, higher levels of self-esteem, and better academic performance compared to a similar group of students who do not receive the intervention (the control group). Students in the intervention group will participate in a one-time, two-hour workshop that discusses expectations about college, setting goals that are aligned with one's values, predicting barriers to achieving these goals, and how to overcome these obstacles. The workshop will provide students with external resources (both on and off campus) for obtaining additional support to address barriers that arise during their college experiences. Students will complete questionnaires about symptoms of depression, anxiety, and their ability to cope with stress before the workshop, after the workshop, and at the end of their first semester. At the end of the Fall 2021 semester, students will be asked to share information about their Grade Point Average (GPA) and academic status. The investigators predict that at the end of the semester, those students who participated in the workshop will report lower levels of depression, anxiety and stress, higher levels of self-esteem, and a higher GPA compared to students who did not receive the intervention. Students who participated in the workshop will also be more likely to continue (enrolled in the Spring 2022 semester) compared to controls.
