Safety and Clinical Outcomes With Amniotic and Umbilical Cord Tissue Therapy for Numerous Medical Conditions

Start date: September 1, 2019
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

To determine the safety and efficacy of Amniotic and Umbilical Cord Tissue for the treatment of the following condition categories: Orthopedic, Neurologic, Urologic, Autoimmune, Renal, Cardiac and Pulmonary Conditions. The hypotheses are that the treatments are not only extremely safe, but also statistically beneficial for all conditions. Outcomes will be determined by numerous valid outcome instruments that compile general quality of life information along with condition-specific information as well.

NCT ID: NCT03898960 Completed - Cerebral Stroke Clinical Trials

Post Marketing Study to Evaluate the NIMBUS Device

SPERO
Start date: October 30, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

A post-market study evaluating the NIMBUS Device in acute ischemic stroke patients with confirmed intracranial large vessel occlusion.

NCT ID: NCT03898375 Terminated - Stroke Clinical Trials

The Effect of Optic Flow During Treadmill Walking on the Gait Pattern in People Post-stroke

Start date: November 25, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this study is to investigate the onset, magnitude and duration of the effect of manipulating the optic flow on the gait pattern during Virtual Reality (VR)-enhanced treadmill walking compared to treadmill walking without VR in people post-stroke.

NCT ID: NCT03897478 Recruiting - Stroke Clinical Trials

Biomarkers of Acute Stroke in Clinic

BASIC
Start date: April 1, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The proposed study will investigate the clinical use of the ISCDX test that may differentiate between diverse stroke etiologies as listed below: Aim 1: Differentiate between cardioembolic and large artery atherosclerotic ischemic strokes, when hemorrhagic stroke is ruled out, as defined by TOAST classification of subtypes of acute ischemic stroke. Aim 2: In cases of ischemic strokes of unknown or "cryptogenic" etiology, determine the ability of biomarker blood tests to predict etiology between cardioembolic and large artery atherosclerotic.

NCT ID: NCT03897153 Recruiting - Stroke, Acute Clinical Trials

Evaluation of the SONAS® Ultrasound Device for the Assessment of Bilateral Cerebral Perfusion in Subjects With Acute Stroke

Start date: February 12, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this clinical investigation is to determine the safety and feasibility of detecting acoustic signals related to blood supply in subjects with acute large vessel occlusion (LVO) stroke by using the SONAS® device.

NCT ID: NCT03896542 Completed - Stroke Clinical Trials

The Effects of Video Games in Stroke

Start date: July 1, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Aims: To establish whether the effectiveness of conventional treatment is increased when it is complemented with video-based therapy, whether specific rehabilitation or commercial after subacute stroke. Design: Randomized clinical trial with pre / post-test and follow-up evaluation, assessor blinded study. Methodology: Three different groups: conventional treatment, conventional treatment and commercial videogame, or conventional treatment and specific rehabilitation videogame. The three groups completed 12 sessions.

NCT ID: NCT03892824 Active, not recruiting - Stroke Clinical Trials

Carotid Artery Implant for Preventing Stroke in Atrial Fibrillation Patients Taking Oral Anticoagulants

CAPTURE2
Start date: April 15, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study will assess the safety and performance of the Vine™ Embolic Protection System (embolic filtering device) in atrial fibrillation (AF) patients on top of oral anticoagulants (OAC), and remain at high risk for stroke recurrence. All patients will receive bilateral implants in the common carotid arteries

NCT ID: NCT03892265 Active, not recruiting - Obesity Clinical Trials

A Longitudinal Cohort Study to Evaluate Cardiovascular Risk Factors and Disease in Haiti

Start date: March 8, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Investigators will establish a longitudinal cohort of ~3,000 adults >18 years in Port-au-Prince using multistage random sampling, and follow them longitudinally to evaluate the prevalence and incidence of cardiovascular disease risk factors and diseases. Cardiovascular risk factors include hypertension, diabetes, obesity, dyslipidemia, kidney disease, poor diet, cigarette smoking, physical inactivity, and inflammation. Cardiovascular disease include angina and myocardial infarction, heart failure, stroke, and CVD mortality. It is anticipated that hypertension prevalence will be ≥10% in 18-30 year olds, that hypertension incidence will be >10 events/1000 person years. Association of determinants and risk factors with CVD will also be examined. Whole blood, serum, plasma, stool, and urine samples will be biobanked for future studies.

NCT ID: NCT03892226 Active, not recruiting - Stroke, Ischemic Clinical Trials

Cardiomyocyte Injury Following Acute Ischemic Stroke

CORONA-IS
Start date: April 1, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The primary goal of the CORONA-IS study is to characterize stroke-associated acute myocardial injury (elevated hs-cardiac troponin) using different diagnostic examinations in order get a better understanding of it's underlying pathomechanisms.

NCT ID: NCT03890159 Not yet recruiting - Stroke Clinical Trials

Effects of Computer Assisted Cognitive Rehabilitation on Patients With Stroke

Start date: April 1, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study aims to investigate the effects of computer assisted cognitive rehabilitation and conventional cognitive rehabilitation methods on patients' attention, quality of life and functional independence. Recruiting from 15 patients from each group, patients will be followed up for a month and the outcome measures will be repeated.
