Whenever a scan is accessed through the PACS system a scanned document or digital picture may be displayed automatically. In this study the technician will take a digital picture of the patient who will be undergoing the CT scan. This way the radiologist will be able to view the patient's face before viewing the scan. The hypothesis is that viewing a digital picture of the patient before viewing the CT scan will improve the quality of diagnosis.
The purpose of the study is to was to evaluate the anti bacterial efficacy of sustain-release Cetylpyridinium chloride varnish on orthodontic patients.
A new mechanical device is evaluated for tattoo removal, comparing two types of needle washing fluids. 30 healthy subjects with tattoos will be treated. The study hypothesis is that the device can be used to achieve satisfactory tattoo removal.
The aim of the present study was to investigate the sensitivity of AEP (auditory evoked potentials) to muscular artefacts using sedation and local anesthesia.
The study will be a double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled, single-center, 2 treatment, 3-way crossover. Subjects will be randomly allocated to a treatment sequence – AAB, ABA or BAA. The two treatments will be: - Treatment A: 500 mg nicotinic acid (Niacor(R)) - Treatment B: Niacor(R) Placebo Each trial period will last one day, there will be a wash-out period of at least 2 days between each trial period. Five to seven days after study day 1 of trial period 3 there will be a final safety examination.
