NCT ID: NCT05797636 Completed - Healthy Clinical Trials

Criticality, Working Memory, and Effort

Start date: March 15, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The project examines electroencephalography, MRI, and behavioral measures indexing flexibility (critical state dynamics) in the brain when healthy young adults do demanding cognitive tasks, and in response to transcranial magnetic stimulation.

NCT ID: NCT05796349 Completed - Healthy Clinical Trials

Study on Data Acquisition and Image Characteristics of Brain Multifrequency EIT in Healthy People and Patients With Brain Diseases

Start date: June 1, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The goal of this observational study is to compare the differences in the features of cerebral multifrequency EIT(cMFEIT) images between healthy subjects and patients with brain diseases and to explore the possibility of applying multifrequency EIT to intracranial abnormality detection.16 healthy volunteers and 8 patients with brain diseases were recruited as experimental subjects, and the cerebral EIT data of 9 frequencies in the range of 21 kHz - 100 kHz of all subjects were acquired with an EH-300 MFEIT system.

NCT ID: NCT05794854 Completed - Healthy Clinical Trials

Spot Reduction in Male Adults

Start date: August 2005
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Spot reduction, referring to local body fat reduction, pertains to subcutaneous adipose tissue utilization from specific body parts during exercise. Its existence has been keenly debated, although generally accepted not to occur during exercise. However, it is based on not only equivocal data - commonly the training protocol typically applied is based on strength rather than endurance training. The investigators sought to test this assumption by utilizing endurance based exercise controlling for energy expenditure and using dual x-ray absorptiometric measures to assess body composition before and after training.

NCT ID: NCT05794243 Completed - Healthy Clinical Trials

A Multiple-Dose Study of LY3493269 in Healthy Participants

Start date: March 23, 2023
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The main purpose of this study is to conduct blood tests to measure how much LY3493269 is in the bloodstream and how the body handles and eliminates LY3493269 when administered orally as test compared to reference formulations in healthy participants in fed and/or fasted states. The study will also evaluate the safety and tolerability of LY3493269 in these participants. The study will last up to 43 days excluding the screening period.

NCT ID: NCT05793762 Completed - Healthy Clinical Trials

Evaluation of the Impact of Laterality on Brain Activation During a Virtual Mirror Therapy Task in Healthy Subjects

LARTHEMIRS
Start date: March 9, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The aim of this study is to investigate the differences in brain activation in healthy subjects during virtual mirror therapy tasks, depending on the laterality of the task. It seems that mirror therapy-related brain activation is greater when the visual feedback represents the non-dominant hand. The aim of this study is to highlight brain activation profiles during the use of virtual mirror therapy according to the lateralization of the feedback.

NCT ID: NCT05791370 Completed - Healthy Clinical Trials

Red Palm Olein on Inflammation and Gut Health

RPO
Start date: January 1, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

A parallel intervention was conducted to test the effect of consuming diets enriched with red palm olein (RPOO), extra virgin coconut oil (EVCO) and extra virgin olive oil (EVOO; positive control) in centrally obese individuals over a 12-week period. Following the screening of the subjects' health status, including their biochemical and lipid profiles, the subjects completed a 12-week dietary intervention. Both fasting blood and urine samples were collected at baseline (day 0) and endpoint (week 12); measurements were taken in duplicates. All data collected were blinded to the investigators by an independent third party until the completion of the analysis.

NCT ID: NCT05791266 Completed - Healthy Clinical Trials

Safety of Sticker Pad Containing Essential Oil Containing Lavender and Ylang-ylang Oil

Start date: March 21, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aims of the study were to evaluate safety of sticker pads containing lavender and ylang ylang oil in healthy volunteers.

NCT ID: NCT05789745 Completed - Healthy Clinical Trials

A Study to Evaluate Plasma Gelsolin in Healthy Volunteers

Start date: March 14, 2023
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

Study BTI-101 is a Phase 1, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, dose escalation, parallel design study to evaluate the safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics of IV rhu-pGSN or saline placebo administered as 5 doses each of 6, 12, 18, or 24 mg/kg of body weight. Each of 4 dosing cohorts will include 8 subjects randomized 3:1 rhu-pGSN:placebo (6 rhu-pGSN subjects:2 placebo subjects). Subjects will be healthy adult volunteers 18-55 years of age.

NCT ID: NCT05789121 Completed - Healthy Clinical Trials

Study of Cerebral Activation by fNIRS During Gait With Different Rhythmic Auditory Stimulations in Healthy Subjects

MoveNIRS
Start date: March 14, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The purpose of this study is to investigate the cerebral activation in healthy subjects in 4 conditions of gait : - Gait at preferred cadence without auditory stimulation (Gait1) - Gait with low tempo rhythmic auditory stimulation by music (RAS-Slow). The beat rate of the music was 68.5 per minute for all participants. - Gait with fast tempo synchronous rhythmic auditory stimulation by music (RAS-Fast). The beat rate of the music was set to 10% above each patient's preferred gait cadence . The preferred cadence was considered as the mean of the 6 trials during Gait 1. - Gait without auditory stimulation (Gait2) The investigators goal is to compare cerebral activation and gait parameters during the 4 different tasks using fNIRS.

NCT ID: NCT05788887 Completed - Healthy Clinical Trials

Investigation of the Postprandial Response of Two Different PDO Cheeses on Metabolic Biomarkers

Start date: January 10, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study was the investigation of the postprandial metabolic responses, after the intake of a traditional, Ladotyri Mytilinis cheese, compared to corresponding responses after an Italian Parmesan cheese consumption, in healthy participants.
