NCT ID: NCT06458920 Recruiting - Emotion Regulation Clinical Trials

Social Facilitation of Emotion Regulation in Adolescence

Start date: October 5, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this project is to test whether regulating emotions with help from a friend is more effective and long-lasting in adolescents than regulating alone, and to characterize age-related differences in the neural mechanisms supporting social versus cognitive emotion regulation. Participants will complete a psychology experiment while undergoing fMRI scanning.

NCT ID: NCT06458660 Recruiting - HIV/AIDS Clinical Trials

LinkPositively+ A Mobile Health App Delivered Intervention to Improve HIV Care Outcomes Among Black Women Affected by Mental Health and Violence

LPP Plus
Start date: April 12, 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The investigative team will conduct a 2-arm randomized control trial to examine the preliminary effect of LinkPositively+ (LPP) an enhanced version of LinkPositively (LP) mobile app on improved HIV care outcomes including improved retention in HIV care, ART adherence, and viral suppression using hair sample analysis and passive electronic, medical record review, and secondarily, self-reported increased social support via activation of social support networks (i.e., assessed by utilization), self-efficacy, and utilization of ancillary support services at baseline, 3- and 6-month post enrollment. Black women living with HIV (WLHA) with a lifetime history of interpersonal violence, who have been linked to care but may have fallen out of care in the past year will be randomized 1:1 to either the LP arm or the LPP arm.

NCT ID: NCT06457919 Recruiting - Prostate Cancer Clinical Trials

A Study of Tinengotinib (TT-00420) in Combination With Standard Treatments in People With Prostate Cancer

Start date: June 4, 2024
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to find out whether tinengotinib in combination with abiraterone acetate and prednisone or enzalutamide is a safe treatment that causes few or mild side effects in people with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC).

NCT ID: NCT06457841 Recruiting - Cannabis Use Clinical Trials

Black Adult Resilience Study

BARS
Start date: May 9, 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Alcohol and cannabis are the most misused psychoactive substances in the United States, and their misuse among African American young adults has the potential to be especially problematic. The proposed research examines how daily and racial stressors (e.g., racism and discrimination) may lead to alcohol and cannabis use among African American young adults, and what individual and community coping and resources mitigate this causal effect. This research is designed to identify possible targets for culturally responsive prevention and treatment efforts to help prevent and reduce alcohol and cannabis use among African American young adults.

NCT ID: NCT06456905 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Alcohol Use Disorder

Automated Reinforcement Management Systems, Phase II

ARMS II
Start date: June 7, 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The Automated Reinforcement Management Systems Phase II (ARMS II) study is a phase II trial is a randomized controlled, non-medicated assisted trial to determine the effectiveness of Contingency Management (CM) treatment for reducing alcohol drinking among adults who want to quit or reduce their alcohol consumption.

NCT ID: NCT06456411 Recruiting - Breast Carcinoma Clinical Trials

Functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy and Virtual Reality Relaxation Programs for Pain Management in Patients With Cancer

Start date: July 12, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This clinical trial attempts to measure pain severity, location of pain, and feasibility in patients with cancer using functional near-infrared spectroscopy and virtual reality relaxation programs. Functional near-infrared spectroscopy and virtual reality relaxation programs may help relieve pain in patients with cancer who are receiving treatment.

NCT ID: NCT06456385 Recruiting - Stroke Clinical Trials

Post-stroke Pain taVNS

Start date: June 4, 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to explore whether a non-invasive form of ear stimulation called transcutaneous auricular vagus nerve stimulation (taVNS) can change the way participants perceive pain. Investigators will recruit up to 20 participants with chronic post-stroke upper extremity pain. The goal is to determine if there is a pain reduction after ear stimulation.

NCT ID: NCT06456268 Recruiting - Pain, Postoperative Clinical Trials

VibraCool Device to Reduce Pain and Opioid Use After Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction

Start date: June 30, 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this project is to test the effects of the VibraCool mechanical stimulation neuromodulatory therapeutic device on post-operative pain and opioid use following ACLR, and thus residual opioids in circulation.

NCT ID: NCT06455930 Recruiting - Cerebral Palsy Clinical Trials

Stand-on Ride-on Power Mobility Devices for Children With Cerebral Palsy

Start date: June 1, 2024
Phase: Early Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this interventional study is to learn about the biomechanical factors underlying the beneficial changes in children with cerebral palsy after using individually-adapted stand-on ride-on power mobility devices (PMD). The main questions we aim to answer are: - How does the use of stand-on PMDs affect static balance in children with cerebral palsy? - How does the use of stand-on PMDs affect dynamic balance and mobility function in children with cerebral palsy? Children ages 4-6 years old with cerebral palsy (GMFCS levels II and III) will: - Use individually-adapted stand-on PMDs for three months. - Undergo tests to measure static balance, dynamic balance, and mobility function before and after the intervention. - Receive a full biomechanical assessment (kinematics, kinetics, muscle activity, gait spatiotemporal characteristics). Researchers will compare pre-intervention and post-intervention measurements to quantify improvements in balance, muscle activation, and mobility.
