Filter by:Post-craniotomy emergence hypertension is a common phenomenon that may predispose to development of intracranial hematoma and cerebral edema. The aim of this study is to compare the safety and efficacy of Mgso4 versus lidocaine infusion for control of emergence hypertension after craniotomy.
This study will be the first to distinguish the relative contributions of sleep, circadian and behavioral mechanisms to the non-dipping BP profile in Black adults and will lay the groundwork for optimizing therapies dependent on mechanisms, such as targeting sleep, targeting circadian rhythmicity, or targeting behaviors, and raising the possibility that ideal therapy for hypertension (HTN) may differ by race. This research will ultimately help to improve health and survival in black populations with HTN.
Though graded balloon-atrial-septostomy (BAS) has been accepted as an effective palliative therapy for severe pulmonary arterial hypertension, spontaneous closure of septostomy is not uncommon. Radiofrequency-catheter-ablation (RFA), which has the potential to cause irreversible damage around the rim of created inter-atrial communication, might contribute to prevent the spontaneous closure. In patients with severe pulmonary arterial hypertension, the combined use of RFA and BAS (CURB) is investigated to create a stable inter-atrial communication.
To provide real world data on patient characteristics, disease management, healthcare utilization, and outcomes in patients with type 2 diabetes, Hypertension, Heart failure and/or Chronic kidney diseases
24 hour ambulatory blood pressure (ABP) monitoring should be the first choice for diagnosis and treatment of hypertension according to European Societyof Hypertension (ESH) and the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) guideline on ambulatory blood pressure monitoring. Finally, we should promote the clinical application of 24 hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring to greatly improve the management level of hypertension in China and effectively reduce the risk caused by hypertension in the population. Information of hypertensive patients with ambulatory blood pressure monitoring was prospectively registered nationwide, and then to investigate whether there was difference in cardiovascular prognosis according to the control of ABP.
To review the accuracy of electrocardiography in screening for left ventricular hypertrophy in patients with hypertension.
This study is a registry study to examine the clinical features, blood pressure control rate, and clinical prognosis of resistant hypertension in Koreans. This study will register patients with resistance hypertension in eight tertiary hospitals in Korea and follow up them for three years. The prognosis will be analysed according to etiologies, achieved blood pressure, and types of antihypertensive medication.
The primary purpose of this trial is to test the hypothesis that Pitavastatin treatment compared to Atorvastatin, in patients with dyslipidemia, prediabetes and hypertension, will have less adverse effect on Hemoglobin A1C (HbA1C), which represents long-term glucose metabolism.
The purpose of this study is to assess the safety and efficacy of renal denervation with sterile irrigated deflectable ablation catheter used in renal artery in primary hypertension in China.
