Filter by:This study will clarify the clinical usefulness of Tolvaptan therapy in patients with complicated acute decompensated heart failure and hyponatremia (low blood sodium).
The My Research Legacy Pilot Study will establish a participant registry that collects self-reported health data and answers to online survey questions about individual daily choices, diets, and exercise; data from wearable devices; and, (optional) data from genome sequencing analysis. Individuals under the age of 50 who meet eligibility criteria will answer questions using the American Heart Association's (AHA) Life's Simple 7™ My Life Check v4.0 three times over the course of 6 months and transmit data from a Fitbit Charge 2 device. All other individuals who are interested in the study and meet entry criteria may also enroll.
This RCT aims to determine if it is possible to perform acupuncture on men and women diagnosed with stable angina who have symptoms, chest pain, and/or chest discomfort. The investigators want to determine if acupuncture reduces the pain and other symptoms of angina, chest pain, and chest discomfort. The investigators also want to examine whether this study is acceptable to the participants, and by carrying out this study the investigators will be able to tell how many participants they will need in a future larger study to further test acupuncture to reduce the symptoms of angina in women.
The main objective is to evaluate the pronostic value of endothelial dysfonction in acute heart failure on a combined criteria associating cardiovascular mortality, nex hospitalisation for decompensated heart failure, cardiac graft or ventricular assistance 2 month and 1 year before acute heart failure.

The hyperactivation of the sympathetic nervous system is a feature of the heart failure and the determinants of disease progression and risk of sudden cardiac death. This research project aims to study, in the drug use conditions provided in the summary of product characteristics based on European marketing authorization (indications and dosage), the effect of the Entresto® on the activity of sympathic nervous system using the reference method, the microneurographic recording of sympathetic activity in muscle destiny (MSNA). This study will try to determine if the double inhibition of AT1 receptor and neprilysin activity result in lower sympathic nervous system burst rate versus single AT1 receptor inhibition using angiotensin-converting-enzyme inhibitor or AT1 receptor of angiotensin II inhibitor.
The purpose of this research study is to determine the role of blood vessel endothelial function in heart failure and the effect of Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy (CRT) on heart and endothelial function.
Heart Failure (HF) a common clinical condition characterized by either by a heart that does not pump sufficiently or becomes stiff. A variety of mechanisms contribute to progressive cardiac remodeling and dysfunction. A new therapeutic approaches by preventing activation of the brain neuromodulatory pathway, may lead to improve HF. QCG001 is a prodrug of EC33, a aminopeptidase A (APA) inhibitor. QCG001 has been shown to be an antihypertensive agent in animal models. This study investigates the safety and efficacy of QGC001 in HF patients.
