NCT ID: NCT01651390 Completed - Clinical trials for Coronary Artery Disease

Clinical Performance of the Pantera Lux Balloon Versus the Orsiro Stent in Patients With In-stent Restenosis.

BIOLUX-RCT
Start date: June 2012
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

To determine in a randomized controlled trial (RCT) whether percutaneous coronary intervention - in patients with in-stent restenosis in either bare metal stents or drug eluting stents - with the Pantera Lux balloon is angiographically non-inferior to percutaneous intervention with the Orsiro stent 6 months post-procedure.

NCT ID: NCT01651208 Completed - Clinical trials for Coronary Artery Disease

Improving Adherence to Post PCI Antiplatelet Therapy in Minority Populations

Start date: January 2010
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate if the use of a phone based motivational interviewing among minority populations who received a coronary stent can improve adherence to antiplatelet agents from approximately 51% to 66% (15 percentage point increase) at 12 months post stent placement when compared to a mailed educational DVD.

NCT ID: NCT01651052 Completed - Clinical trials for Coronary Artery Disease

Clinical Trial of the Edwards Aortic Bioprosthesis, Model 11000

Start date: July 2011
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this observational trial is to gather further clinical data to confirm the safety and performance of the Edwards Pericardial Aortic Bioprosthesis, Model 11000 in this trial population.

NCT ID: NCT01648673 Completed - Clinical trials for Coronary Artery Disease

Pilot Evaluation of the JHI Platform

Start date: August 2012
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The main purpose of this pilot study is to evaluate an impact of JHI CR Platform on patient referral, recruitment and retention rates and overall patient satisfaction in cardiovascular rehabilitation programs at the HFHS.

NCT ID: NCT01642940 Completed - Clinical trials for Coronary Artery Disease

Τicagrelor Versus Prasugrel in Diabetic Patients: a Pharmacodynamic Study

Start date: June 2012
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

This is a prospective, randomized, single-center, single blind, investigator initiated, two period study of crossover design. Diabetic patients with Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS), treated with oral and/or parenteral hypoglycaemic therapy for at least 1 month and subjected to percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), will be randomized after a baseline platelet reactivity (PR) assessment (24 hours post PCI) while under clopidogrel in a 1:1 ratio to either prasugrel 10mg or ticagrelor 180mg for 15 days followed by crossover directly to the alternate therapy for an additional 15 days without an intervening washout period.

NCT ID: NCT01642355 Completed - Obesity Clinical Trials

Prevention Trial to Achieve Cardiovascular Targets

IMPACT
Start date: June 2012
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The objective of IMPACT (Investigation of Motivational Interviewing and Prevention Consults to Achieve Cardiovascular Targets) is to determine the best management strategy for patients undergoing cardiovascular intervention. IMPACT is a prospective randomized trial that will enroll 400 patients post-cardiovascular intervention. The study will compare different cardiovascular prevention strategies: (1) usual care, (2) cardiovascular prevention consult, and (3) cardiovascular prevention consult with a behavioral intervention program over a 6-month period. The trial hypothesis is that for patients undergoing a cardiovascular intervention, a prevention consult and behavioral intervention is superior to usual care in reducing cardiovascular risk. The primary endpoint will be non-HDL cholesterol. Secondary endpoints include other lipid values, metabolic risk, smoking cessation, physical activity, nutritional status, medication adherence and quality of life. IMPACT is scheduled to begin enrollment in the June of 2012.

NCT ID: NCT01642173 Completed - Clinical trials for Endothelial Dysfunction

Assessment of Coronary Plaque Composition Using Optical Coherence Tomography

Start date: October 2010
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The investigator's hypothesis is that local activation of the endogenous Lp-PLA2 plays an integral role in early atherosclerosis, and contributes to the mechanism of coronary endothelial dysfunction and to the structural and mechanical properties that characterize plaque vulnerability. Thus, the investigators study will characterize prospectively the correlation between the functional and structural vascular wall properties, and the activity of the Lp-PLA2 pathway.

NCT ID: NCT01638507 Completed - Clinical trials for Coronary Artery Disease

An Evaluation of the Commercially Available Medtronic Resolute Integrity Zotarolimus-Eluting Coronary Stent System

RI-US
Start date: July 2012
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this post approval study is to conduct a prospective, multicenter evaluation of the procedural and clinical outcomes of subjects that are treated with the commercially available Medtronic Resolute Integrity Zotarolimus-Eluting Coronary Stent System.

NCT ID: NCT01637012 Completed - Clinical trials for Myocardial Infarction

Prospective, Single-arm, Multicenter Study for Evaluation the Safety and Effectiveness of the ALEX Stent in a Real-world Setting of Percutaneous Coronary Interventions in Patients With Coronary Heart Disease

ALEX OCT
Start date: February 2012
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

To evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the ALEX stent in a real-world setting of percutaneous coronary interventions in patients with coronary heart disease.

NCT ID: NCT01636271 Completed - Clinical trials for Coronary Heart Disease

SB-480848 in Major Adverse Cardiovascular Events - Integrated Summary of Efficacy and Safety From the STABILITY Trial (LPL100601) and the SOLID-TIMI-52 Trial (SB-480848/033)

Start date: October 2011
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

The overall objective of this integrated analysis is to evaluate the clinical safety and efficacy of long-term treatment with darapladib enteric coated tablets, 160mg, as compared to placebo when added to standard of care in subjects with clinical manifestations of cardiovascular disease (chronic coronary heart disease (CHD) and post Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS)). With respect to efficacy, the key purpose of this integrated analysis is to evaluate the effects of darapladib on the following endpoints: urgent coronary revascularization for myoacrdial ischemia, fatal/non-fatal stroke, time to subsequent Major Adverse Cardiovascular Event (MACE), and heart failure requiring hospitalization. The first occurrent of MACE, Major and total coronary events as well as the individual components of MACE will also be evaluated descriptively.
