Single Ascending Dose and Multiple Ascending Dose Study of Voriconazole Inhalation Powder in Healthy Adult Subjects

This is a Phase 1 (healthy adult volunteers), 2-part, double-blind, randomized, placebo controlled trial to evaluate the safety and pharmacokinetic (PK) profiles of escalating single doses of Voriconazole Inhalation Powder versus placebo (SAD part) and escalating multiple doses of Voriconazole Inhalation Powder versus placebo (MAD part). SAD part will be initiated first and includes a sentinel design. MAD part will not utilize a sentinel design and will be initiated once the lowest doses from SAD part are deemed safe.

LSD Base and LSD Tartrate Bioequivalence and Bioavailability in Healthy Subjects

Lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) is used as recreational substance and as a research substance to study the mind. Recreationally, LSD is typically used in the form of "blotters" containing LSD tartrate. In research, both LSD base (LSD alone) or LSD salt in the form of LSD tartrate are used. The oral bioavailability of LSD is not known and LSD alone and LSD as salt have never been directly compared regarding their equivalence of plasma concentrations and effects. Because different forms of LSD are used in research it is important to know their difference or equivalence for correct dosing of LSD. The present study will compare equivalent doses of LSD base in ethanol orally, LSD tartrate in water administered orally, LSD base in an orodispersible film administered orally and LSD tartrate in water administered intravenously, as well as a placebo using a double-blind, randomized, counterballanced cross-over design in healthy participants.

Neuralized1 and RGS14 Genes

Autism is a broad spectrum neurodevelopmental disease. Some individuals with ADS by high cognitive functions are diagnosed with High Functioning Autism (HFA). In some studies, it has been shown that NEURL1 gene increases learning and memory and RGS14 gene is suppressed them. We aimed to evaluate the differences between the expression levels of these genes between ASD, HFA and healthy controls and the role of these genes in the pathogenesis of ASD. Patients with 20 ASD and 20 HFA, and 20 healthy controls compatible with patient ages were included in this study. Expression of NEURL-1 and RGS14 genes was evaluated by quantitative Real Time PCR (qRT-PCR).
