A Study of Carbon-14-Labelled [14C] LY3437943 in Healthy Male Participants

The main purpose of this study is to is to look at how much LY3437943 gets into the bloodstream and how long the body takes to get rid of it in healthy male participants. This study will involve a single dose of 14C radiolabeled LY3437943. his means that a radioactive tracer substance, C14, will be incorporated into the study drug to investigate the study drug and its breakdown products and to find out how much of these pass from blood into urine, feces and expired air. The study will last up to approximately 15 weeks including the screening period of 28 days.

Coffee for Optimal Metabolite Profile

The aim of this project is to evaluate metabolite profile after consumption of three types of coffee differing in type of bean, degree of roasting and preparation method. Metabolite profiles will be evaluated after a) a single dose b) 3-day consumption. The study will be carried out as a three-way cross-over design with three different types of coffee. Wash-out periods where participants consume their habitual diet are implemented between all intervention periods. The first day of intervention (single dose) includes postprandial measurements during 13 hours.

A Study in People With Overweight or Obesity to Test How Well Different Doses of BI 1820237 Are Tolerated When Given Alone or in Combination With Either Semaglutide or BI 456906

This study is open to adults between 18 and 55 years of age who are living with overweight or obesity. People with a body mass index (BMI) from 27 to 40 kg/m2 can join the study. The main purpose of this study is to find out how a medicine called BI 1820237 is tolerated by people with overweight or obesity when taken alone or in combination with a medicine called semaglutide or with a medicine called BI 456906. Participants are divided into different groups. All participants in the study either take different doses of BI 1820237 or placebo. Some of the groups take either semaglutide or BI 456906 in addition. Each participant has an equal chance of being in each group. All participants receive the study medicines as injections under the skin once a week for almost 5 months. Placebo injections look like BI 1820237 injections, but do not contain any medicine. Semaglutide is medicine that is already used for overweight or obesity. BI 456906 is another medicine that is being developed for the treatment of overweight and obesity. Participants are in the study for about 7 months. During this time, they visit the study site regularly. For some of the visits, the participants remain at the study site for 1 or 2 nights. At the study visits, the doctors check the health of the participants and note any health problems that could have been caused by BI 1820237, semaglutide, or BI 456906.

Acute Effect of Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization on Hamstring Flexibility Via Fascial Chain

Instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) is one of the methods used to achieve fascial release. In this study, it will be examined whether there will be an increase in hamstring flexibility by releasing the superficial posterior fascial chain as a result of the IASTM technique to be applied over the triceps surae muscle and plantar fascia. Sociodemographic information of individuals who meet the inclusion criteria and volunteer to participate in the study will be obtained, and straight leg lift test and popliteal angle measurement will be performed with the digital inclinometer (Baseline Digital Inclinometer) to be provided within the scope of the project to measure hamstring flexibility. Then, IASTM will be applied to the triceps surae muscle and plantar fascia for 15 minutes. Measurements will be repeated after the application.
