There are about 173942 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in United States. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Washington University will evaluate the acceptability and effectiveness of a mobile health (mHealth) intervention to provide cognitive behavioral therapy for adolescents with depression.
This Phase 2 study has been designed to investigate the clinical safety and efficacy of EDP1815 and to identify an optimal dose in subjects with mild to moderate psoriasis.
This study is being conducted to validate early and ultra-early blood-based and novel imaging biomarkers of Diffuse Axonal Injury (DAI), Microvascular Injury (MVI), and neuroinflammation that may serve as predictive and pharmacodynamic biomarkers in a new cohort of moderate-severe TRACK-TBI subjects. The study team will enroll a cohort of moderate to severe TBI subjects (N=50), stratified according to VA/DoD criteria for these injury severities through the existing TRACK-TBI network sites to obtain novel advanced neuroimaging and more frequent biomarker sampling. Subjects will be assessed over 3 months.
Type 2 diabetes (T2D) predisposes individuals to neurodegeneration and dementia, including Alzheimer's Disease (AD); yet the link between metabolic and neurodegenerative disorders remains unknown. Here, the investigators will study a well-defined human population with increased prevalence and early onset of both T2D and AD, individuals of Mexican descent living in South Texas. The study will begin to explore the possibility that disruption of the structure of the bacterial community residing in the gut in type 2 diabetic individuals of Mexican descent living in South Texas is directly related to the increased prevalence of early onset AD in this population. In this study, the investigators will perform gene sequencing on DNA isolated from fecal samples to identify and compare the populations of bacteria living in individuals with T2D versus non-diabetic controls. The investigators will analyze the findings to determine if the community structure of the gut microbiome of individuals of Mexican descent with T2D is significantly altered compared to that of non-diabetics within the same population. The investigators' findings could lead to the identification of early indicators of dementia onset as well as novel therapies for treating metabolic and neurodegenerative diseases.
The primary purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of SAGE-718 and its effects on cognitive and neuropsychiatric symptoms in participants with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) or mild dementia due to Alzheimer's disease (AD).
The purpose of this study is to learn about the impact of the Oncology Nurse Navigation program on the frequency of Emergency Department, urgent care visits and inpatient hospital admissions; and overall survival rate at 6 months. The investigators aim to understand if prompt and effective coordination of care provided by Oncology Nurse Navigation (ONN) service will reduce the number of avoidable, unplanned ED visits and hospitalizations, as well as adding measurable value to cancer care, and improve patient overall survival.
To investigate the relationship between BIS™ and inhaled anesthetics across a wide range of anesthetic concentration and hypnotic states, and to provide evidence to support BIS™ performance in use with Isoflurane, Sevoflurane and Desflurane in combination with opioids.
This quantitative study assesses the baseline loneliness scores in all the high school students in the US. Assessments at baseline will include the UCLA loneliness scale. The Google form questionnaire will ask the high schoolers for their email address and their parent's email address (if they are under 18). The form will also include a question eliciting interest in participation in the 4-weeks Heartfulness program. The program will include tools that promote a heart-based nurturing environment focusing on relaxation, positivity, and developing growth mindsets.
The main objective of this trail is to investigate if and to what extent BI 409306, BI 425809 and lamotrigine attenuate ketamine induced cognitive deficits.
The purpose of this pilot study is to explore the feasibility, acceptability, and efficacy of a 6-week mobile health (mHealth) physical activity intervention among adolescent and young adult (AYA) cancer survivors being treated at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
