The fact that women adopt the role of motherhood throughout pregnancy is very important for attachment behaviors and infant attachment patterns in the early and late postpartum period.
The aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) on patient outcomes after laparoscopic cholecystectomy.
The goal of this randomized controlled trial is to assess the impact of ethanol sclerotherapy on ART cycle outcomes. The main questions it aims to answer are: 1. Does ethanol sclerotherapy before ART cycle has any impact on cumulative live birth rate in patients with endometrioma? 2. Does ethanol sclerotherapy improve chronic pelvic pain, dysmenorrhea, complications during oocyte retrieval, response to ovarian stimulation (number of mature oocytes retrieved), and pregnancy loss rates? Infertile patients with endometrioma between 4-10 cm who are scheduled for ART within 2 cycles will be randomized to ethanol sclerotherapy or no intervention.
Acute appendicitis is the most common abdominal emergency with more than 15 million cases reported worldwide. Although appendectomy is considered a safe surgical procedure, the incidence of complications is up to 10%. The Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) has developed guidelines to improve postoperative patient outcomes. The protocol, which consists of more than 20 interventions in the preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative periods, shows that early discharge can be possible with multidisciplinary care given to surgical patients without risking patient safety.
The goal of this prospective single-blind randomized clinical trial is to compare the effect of two different positive end expiratory pressure (PEEP) levels on regional cerebral oxygen saturation in patients scheduled for craniotomy due to supratentorial masses. The main question it aims to answer is that how high PEEP level effects the regional cerebral oxygen saturation in patients with high intracranial pressure due to mass effect. Patients will be divided into two groups as Group low PEEP (5 cmH2O) and Group high PEEP (10 cmH2O). Researchers will compare the changes of regional cerebral oxygen saturations between two groups by near infra-red spectroscopy.
In this study, PECS II block or CSAB will be applied to patients who have had a modified radical mastectomy under general anesthesia for postoperative pain relief by using 30 ml of 0.25% bupivacaine .All patients will receive tramadol with a patient-controlled analgesia device during the postoperative period. Pain, nausea-vomiting, additional analgesic and antiemetic drug requirement, within 24 hours postoperatively will be compared between groups. In this study, it was aimed to compare the efficacy of both peripheral nerve block methods in patients after mastectomy.
A total of 120 patients scheduled for surgical operation due to hip fracture were divided into two randomized groups. The first group received pericapsular nerve group (PENG) block, while the second group received lumbar erector spinae plane (L-ESP) block prior to the surgery. Subsequently, all patients were positioned in the lateral decubitus position before spinal anesthesia and compared in terms of anesthesia effectiveness through pain scores.
Gestational diabetes mellitus is associated with abnormal blood sugar levels throughout pregnancy in women without prior diabetes. Many studies have been conducted on the relationship between diabetes and oxidative stress. In this study, it was aimed to investigate the presence of fundus findings in patients with gestational diabetes and/or impaired blood sugar based on the results of previous studies and to simultaneously investigate the thiol-disulfide homeostasis in the tears of the patients.There was no previous study in the literature on thiol disulfide homeostasis in tears in gestational diabetic patients.
The effects of anterior chest wall blocks (PECS and SAP will be used in this study) performed for postoperative analgesia on pain scores (to be checked with visual analogue scale (VAS), opioid consumption, length of hospital stay, mobilization time, side effects and complications in the postoperative period will be examined.
