There are about 2143 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Slovakia. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This study is being carried out to see if Dapagliflozin in addition to insulin is effective and safe in treating patients with type 2 diabetes when compared to placebo (identical looking inactive treatment) in addition to insulin
To study the effect of long-term treatment with raloxifene, compared with placebo, on the rate of new vertebral fractures in osteoporotic postmenopausal women with and without existing vertebral fractures.
The primary objective of the study is to demonstrate the superiority of vernakalant injection over amiodarone injection in the conversion of atrial fibrillation (AF) to sinus rhythm (SR) within 90 minutes of the start of drug administration. The secondary objective is to compare the safety of vernakalant to amiodarone.
The main objective of the AC 055 303/SERAPHIN OL study, which will follow the AC 055 302/SERAPHIN study, will be to assess the long-term safety and tolerability of ACT 064992 in patients with symptomatic PAH.
This study tested the safety of the combination of aliskiren/amlodipine/hydrochlorothiazide in participants with essential hypertension.
This study is designed to look at if a basal bolus regimen of insulin lispro protamine suspension (ILPS) provides the same glycemic control as a basal bolus regimen of insulin glargine (when one basal bolus regimen is injected once daily together with insulin lispro injected 2-3 times daily).
This extension study of was designed to evaluate the long-term safety, tolerability, and efficacy of fingolimod (FTY720) in patients with multiple sclerosis. The Extension study was an extension to the 24-month Core study (CFTY720D2301/NCT00289978).
The AC-055-302/SERAPHIN study will be an event-driven Phase III study, comparing two different doses of macitentan (ACT-064992) (3 and 10 mg) vs placebo in patients with symptomatic PAH. The main study objective is to demonstrate that macitentan (ACT-064992) prolongs time to the first morbidity or mortality event, and to evaluate the benefit/risk profile of macitentan (ACT-064992) in the treatment of patients with symptomatic PAH.
This study will evaluate the potential of RO4607381 to reduce cardiovascular morbidity and mortality in stable coronary heart disease patients with recent Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) and evaluate the long term safety profile of the drug. Eligible patients in stable condition will be randomized to receive either RO4607381 600mg po or placebo po, daily, together with a background of standard medication for ACS (including aspirin, antihypertensives and statins). The anticipated time on study treatment is 2+ years, and the target sample size is 15,600 individuals.
The purpose of this study is to determine the efficacy, safety and tolerability of SYR-472, once daily (QD), in subjects with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus.
