TWIST
Start date: October 1, 2019
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This study aims to assess the effects of low dose ticagrelor on platelet function testing in patients with stable coronary artery disease.

NCT ID: NCT04198896 Completed - Clinical trials for Atherosclerosis of Artery

The Sakakibara Health Integrative Profile of Atherosclerotic-Carcinogenesis Hypothesis (SHIP-AC)

SHIP-AC
Start date: January 2009
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

As previously reported (IJC Heart & Vasculature 2017; 17: 11.), our epidemiological analysis showing high incidence of cancers in patients with atherosclerotic cardiovascular diseases as compared with those with non-atherosclerotic cardiovascular diseases may imply a clinical possibility of a role of atherosclerosis in cancer developments. In the present study, to address our hypothesis that cancer developments may come with a strength of atherosclerosis, we traced an incidence of cancers in a total of 8,856 patients with coronary artery diseases (CAD) for a median follow-up of 1,095 days (interquartile range, 719-1,469 days) using the Sakakibara Health Integrative Profile (SHIP) database.

NCT ID: NCT04195932 Completed - Heart Diseases Clinical Trials

Exercise as a Modulator of Immune Risk Factors for Ischemic Heart Disease

Start date: December 1996
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

A before and after study involving 43 adult subjects at risk of having ischemic heart disease. Subjects underwent 6 months of supervised moderate intensity aerobic and resistive exercise training. Blood samples were obtained at entry and at 6 months for measurement of complement (C3), CRP, blood lipid levels, lymphocyte phenotypes, and for the isolation, culture, and measurement of the spontaneous and phytohemagglutinin-induced secretion of proatherogenic and antiatherogenic cytokines by their peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC).

NCT ID: NCT04192409 Completed - Clinical trials for Coronary Artery Disease

Glycemic Control Using Mobile-based Intervention in Patients With Diabetes Undergoing Coronary Artery Bypass to Promote Self-management

GUIDEME
Start date: January 1, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The study is a two-arm parallel, randomized clinical trial. The purpose of the study is to evaluate the effectiveness and feasibility of using high-quality medication reminder smartphone application as a tool for secondary prevention in patients undergone CABG with DM, including the change in quality of life, medication adherence improvement and clinical outcome. The participants will be randomized into intervention and control groups in a 1:1 ratio. The intervention group will receive information of secondary prevention of CHD and medication alarm using a specific smartphone application, while the control group will receive usual care.

NCT ID: NCT04186676 Completed - Clinical trials for Acute Myocardial Infarction

Myocardial Infarction With Non-Obstructive Coronary Arteries in the Greek Population

MINOCA-GR
Start date: January 1, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

The MINOCA-GR registry will be the first nationwide study aiming to obtain data regarding prevalence, demographics, clinical profile, previous anginal status, presence of cardiovascular risk factors, management and outcomes in patients with Myocardial Infarction with Non-Obstructive Coronary Arteries. An additional purpose of the registry is to highlight, for the first time worldwide to the best of the investigator's knowledge, the role of cardiac computed tomography angiography for risk stratification and personalized therapeutic approach in MINOCA patients.
