NCT ID: NCT04378881 Enrolling by invitation - COVID Clinical Trials

Simulation of Risk of Adverse Drug Events Associated With the Initiation of Drugs Repurposed for the Treatment of COVID-19 in Adults With Polypharmacy Using Data From Large Medicare and Commercially Insured Populations

Start date: June 12, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This retrospective study aims to perform a medication risk stratification using drug claims data and to simulate the impact of the addition of various repurposed drugs on the Medication Risk Score (MRS) in a health insurance population. Our clinical tool would enable us to identify potential multi-drug interactions and potentially reduce the risk of adverse drug events (ADE) developing in these patients infected with COVID-19.

NCT ID: NCT04369599 Enrolling by invitation - COVID-19 Clinical Trials

Trans Thoracic Manipulation of Ventilation/Perfusion: the V/Q System

Start date: August 11, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this pilot study is to measure the impact of non-invasive pneumatic manipulation of transthoracic pressure on oxygenation in patients with Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) due to Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID 19) who are on mechanical ventilator support. This will be achieved by a pneumatic Vest placed around the chest wall of consenting patients who meet inclusion criteria. The Vest is essentially a non-invasive segmental device placed upon the anterior and posterior right and left aspects of the chest wall. The researchers have the ability to inflate and deflate the chambers of the Vest to achieve preset pressures as determined by the protocol and observe the patient's physiological response. Participants will have up to four hours of intervention with the study intervention, followed by 1 hour of post-intervention observation.

NCT ID: NCT04361565 Enrolling by invitation - Clinical trials for COVID-19 by SARS-CoV-2 Infection

Frequency and Clinical Evolution of Olfactory and Taste Disorders in COVID-19 Patients

Start date: March 20, 2020
Phase:

A novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 HAS arose in 2019 in Wuhan, China. Beside the classical semiology of this infection, numerous patients described olfactory and teste disorders. These symptoms are not described in this coronavirus, neurotropism of coronaviridae has been documented before. The aim of the study is to evaluate prevalence of anosmia and dysgeusia (olfactory and taste disorders) in coronavirus diagnosed patients and compare with different clinical conditions. The second endpoint is to evaluate the duration of these symptoms in order to better understand the semiology of this infection.
