Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study was to compare disease-free survival after treatment with docetaxel in combination with doxorubicin and cyclophosphamide to 5-fluorouracil in combination with doxorubicin and cyclophosphamide in operable breast cancer patients with positive axillary lymph nodes.

NCT ID: NCT00561106 Completed - Bell´s Palsy Clinical Trials

Prednisone-Placebo vs Prednisone-Valacyclovir in Bell´s Palsy

PVBP
Start date: December 2002
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

NCT ID: NCT00517413 Completed - Anemia Clinical Trials

LATINO Study: A Study of Mircera for the Maintenance Treatment of Dialysis Patients With Chronic Renal Anemia.

Start date: n/a
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This single arm study will assess the efficacy and safety of Mircera when administered once monthly, subcutaneously or intravenously, for the maintenance of hemoglobin levels in dialysis patients with chronic renal anemia. Patients currently receiving maintenance treatment with epoetin alfa will receive monthly injections of Mircera with a starting dose (120, 200 or 360 micrograms) derived from the dose of epoetin alfa they were receiving in the week preceding study start. The anticipated time on study treatment is 3-12 months, and the target sample size is 100-500 individuals.

NCT ID: NCT00502996 Completed - Clinical trials for Rheumatoid Arthritis

A Non-Comparative Study to Assess the Safety of MabThera (Rituximab) in Patients With Rheumatoid Arthritis.

Start date: February 2006
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

This single arm study will assess the safety of MabThera plus methotrexate in patients with rheumatoid arthritis who have had a lack of response to 1-5 DMARDs or biological agents. Patients will receive MabThera (1g i.v.) on days 1 and 15, concomitantly with methotrexate >=15mg p.o./week. The anticipated time on study treatment is 3-12 months, and the target sample size is 100-500 individuals.

NCT ID: NCT00485979 Completed - Breast Neoplasms Clinical Trials

Treatment of Larotaxel/Docetaxel, +/- Trastuzumab, After Anthracycline-cyclophosphamide in Breast Cancer Patients

SATIN
Start date: June 2007
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The primary objective of this study is to assess the pathological Complete Response (pCR) rate by treatment arm (according to Chevallier criteria). The secondary objectives are: - to assess in each treatment arm the clinical Response Rate (RR), the rate of breast conservation, the Progression-Free Survival (PFS), the Overall Survival (OS), the safety and tolerability profile, the pathological Complete Response rate (pCR) according to NSABP and Sataloff criteria, - to rank docetaxel and larotaxel alone in Her2 -ve patients, or combined with trastuzumab in Her2 +ve patients, according to the pCR rate.

NCT ID: NCT00408278 Completed - Clinical trials for Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia

Treatment of Newly Diagnosed Patients With Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia (PETHEMA LPA 2005)

Start date: July 2005
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

Primary objectives - To evaluate the efficacy and toxicity of a risk-adapted protocol that use idarubicin for induction and consolidation therapy in patients with APL. - To evaluate the impact of mitoxantrone reduction on the event-free, disease-free, and overall survival, as well as on the duration of remission and cumulative incidence of relapse in low- and intermediate-risk patients with APL. - To evaluate the impact of the addition of ara-C to idarubicin courses of consolidation for high-risk patients (administered as in the original GIMEMA protocols) on the event-free, disease-free, and overall survival, as well as on the duration of remission and cumulative incidence of relapse. - To evaluate the toxicity of the induction, consolidation, and maintenance chemotherapy in the whole series and in each treatment group in patients with APL. Secondary objectives • To compare all outcomes with those achieved with the PETHEMA LPA99 protocol.

NCT ID: NCT00401323 Completed - Neoplasm Metastasis Clinical Trials

Taxotere (Docetaxel) in 1st Line Treatment of Recurrent/Metastatic Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Start date: January 1998
Phase: Phase 2/Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of the study is to compare time to progression and overall survival after treatment with Taxotere plus cisplatin versus cisplatin plus 5-FU (PF treatment group) in the first line treatment of patients with recurrent and/or metastatic squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck.

A Study of Avastin (Bevacizumab) in Combination With Herceptin (Trastuzumab)/Docetaxel in Patients With HER2 Positive Metastatic Breast Cancer.

Start date: September 2006
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This 2 arm study will compare the efficacy and safety of Avastin plus Herceptin/docetaxel, versus Herceptin/docetaxel alone, in patients with HER2 positive locally recurrent or metastatic breast cancer who have not received prior chemotherapy for their metastatic disease. Patients will be randomized 1:1 to receive either Avastin (15mg/kg iv q3weeks) + Herceptin (8mg/kg iv loading dose and 6mg/kg iv q3weeks maintenance) + docetaxel (100mg/m2 iv q3weeks) or Herceptin + docetaxel alone.
