There are about 3709 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Thailand. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Ertapenem, a broad-spectrum carbapenem antibiotic, has shown promising in vitro activity agenst ESBL-producing Enterobacteriacae. This agent was licensed in United State of America and Europe for several clinical use in complicated intraabdominal infections, complicated skin and skin-structure infections, acute pelvic infections, complicated urinary tract infections and community-acquired pneumonia. In common with other beta-lactams, ertapenem exhibits primarily time-dependent activity, and the percentage of the exposure time during which the free drug concentration remain above the MIC (%T>MIC) is the pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamics (PK/PD) index that best correlates with efficacy. Pathophysiological changes in critically ill patients with severe infections resulting in altered PK patterns that may affect therapeutic plasma concentrations and achievement of PD have been found with several antimicrobial agents. The aim of the study was to determine the PK of ertapenem in patients with urosepsis.
Title: The efficacy of hemostatic powder TC-325 versus standard endoscopic treatment for gastrointestinal bleeding from malignancy; a multi-center randomized trial Background: Gastrointestinal (GI) bleeding arising from malignant tumors is increasingly recognized as a result of oncological advances and improved detection methods. However, conventional endoscopic hemostatic methods are not reliable to control bleeding. It has a trend to be an effective hemostasis method for active GI bleeding from tumor, however, in view of the lack of RCTs and large-scale studies, the efficacy of TC-325 is still inconclusive. Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of TC325 in endoscopic hemostasis treatment for malignant gastrointestinal hemorrhage. The 24-hour, 72-hour, 30-day, 90-day and 180-day rebleeding rate were assessed as the outcomes of treatment as well as 6-month mortality. Study design: Single-blinded, multi-center, randomized-control trial study The intervention (experimental) arm: TC-325 alone (define failure if continued bleeding despite application of 1 syringes) The control arm: Standard of (traditional) endoscopic treatments ** Crossover is possible. Inclusion criteria: Patients with acute upper or lower GIB from a lesion that is actively bleeding at index endoscopy (spurting or oozing) and is suspected to be malignant or diagnosed as malignancy from previous tissue diagnosis. Exclusion criteria: Patients less than 18 years old, previously included in the trial, ECOG score 3 or 4, pregnancy/lactation, and/or bleeding from GI sources suspected of not being malignant. If an endoscopist is unsure of the malignant likelihood of the lesion, he/she will not be enrolled. Sample size: 112 in total Duration of participation for each volunteer: 180 days
This is a multicenter, open-label, extension study to evaluate the long-term safety, tolerability, and efficacy of treatment with AG-348 in participants who were previously enrolled in Study AG348-C-006 or Study AG348-C-007.
A global study to assess the efficacy and safety of durvalumab in combination with bevacizumab or durvalumab alone in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma who are at high risk of recurrence.
Linezolid is the first synthetic antibiotic of oxazolidinone group that can inhibit bacterial protein synthesis. Previous studies have found that linezolid was an effective treatment for multidrug-resistant (MDR) and extensively drug-resistant (XDR) tuberculosis (TB). In addition, the current dosage recommendation (1,200 mg/day) occasionally resulted in serious adverse events including bone marrow suppression and peripheral neuropathy. The objective study were determine the pharmacokinetics of oral linezolid 300 mg /day in healthy volunteers. This study conducted in six healthy volunteers. All subject received an oral linezolid 300 mg/day by directly observed treatment (DOT) at the same time each day for 5 days. Blood samples were collected on day 5 at 0, 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12 and 24 h post dosing. The separated plasma samples were evaluated by ultra-performance liquid chromatography (UPLC). All pharmacokinetic parameters were calculated.
QT interval prolongation and neutropenia are considered to be important identified risks for ribociclib. The approved dosing regimen of ribociclib is 600 mg daily (QD) on a 3 weeks on/1 week off schedule. The purpose of the study is to explore whether a reduced dosing regimen of 400 mg ribociclib orally QD 3 weeks on/1 week off may decrease the risk of QTc prolongation without compromising the efficacy of ribociclib in combination with a non-steroidal aromatase inhibitor (NSAI) in pre- and postmenopausal women with hormone receptor-positive (HR-positive), HER2-negative advanced breast cancer (aBC) who have not received prior therapy for advanced disease.
This study is designed to determine the efficacy and safety of durvalumab and/or novel oncology therapies, with or without chemotherapy, for first-line Stage IV Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC)
The researchers are doing this study to see if semaglutide can slow down the growth and worsening of chronic kidney disease in people with type 2 diabetes. Participants will get semaglutide (active medicine) or placebo ('dummy medicine'). This is known as participants' study medicine - which treatment participants get is decided by chance. Semaglutide is a medicine, doctors can prescribe in some countries for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. Participants will get the study medicine in a pen. Participants will use the pen to inject the medicine in a skin fold once a week. The study will close when there is enough information collected to show clear result of the study. The total time participants will be in this study is about 3 to 5 years, but it could be longer.
The main purpose of this study is to monitor the safety and tolerability of avelumab in participants with solid tumors who continue treatment with avelumab under the same treatment regimen as in the parent avelumab study.
The study compares 2 medicines for children who do not have enough hormone to grow: somapacitan given once a week (a new medicine) and Norditropin® given once a day (the medicine doctors can already prescribe). Researchers will test to see how well somapacitan works. The study will also test if somapacitan is safe. Participants will either get somapacitan or Norditropin® - which treatment participants get, is decided by chance. Both participants and the study doctor will know which treatment participants get. The study will last for 4 years. Participants will attend 19 clinic visits and have 1 phone call with the study doctor.
