FLECAPRO
Start date: January 4, 2023
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

FLECAPRO is a randomized controlled crossover trial assessing the effect and safety of adding flecainide to standard beta-blocker therapy to reduce the burden of ventricular arrhythmias in patients with arrhythmic mitral valve prolapse. The primary endpoint of will be assessed using an implantable loop recorder with blinded endpoint adjudication.

NCT ID: NCT05627180 Recruiting - Cancer Clinical Trials

Tailored Health Literacy Follow-up in Cancer

Start date: March 30, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Health literacy refers to personal and relational factors affecting a persons ability to aquire, understand and use health information and health services. In a need assessment study, it was found that there is a need to focus on health literacy factors in the follow-up of people with cancer in the health care services. Thus, this project evaluate the effect of a health literacy intervention in cancer. The intervention provides patients with nurse-led tailored follow-up by phone/digital/personal meetings that addresses their individual HL needs, particularly those needs that impact their quality of life, symptom burden, self-management, and health economic costs. Our main goal is to improve the patients' health literacy, with secondary goals of improving their quality of life, symptom burden, and self-management, and reducing their health care costs.

NCT ID: NCT05625399 Recruiting - Melanoma Clinical Trials

A Study of Subcutaneous Nivolumab + Relatlimab Fixed-dose Combination (FDC) in Previously Untreated Metastatic or Unresectable Melanoma

RELATIVITY-127
Start date: March 6, 2023
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to demonstrate that the study drug exposure level of the nivolumab + relatlimab FDC subcutaneous (SC) formulation is not worse than nivolumab + relatlimab FDC intravenous (IV) administration in participants with previously untreated metastatic or unresectable melanoma.

NCT ID: NCT05621408 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Coronary Artery Disease

Attention Training Technique in Treatment of Anxiety and Depression in Coronary Heart Disease Patients

Start date: November 30, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Anxiety and depression are associated with work disability, lower participation rate in cardiac rehabilitation and unfavourable life style changes following a coronary heart disease (CHD) event. The prevalence of clinically significant symptoms of depression and anxiety in CHD patients has been estimated to 30-50%. Furthermore, depression and anxiety are associated with a significant increased risk of subsequent major adverse cardiovascular events and mortality in CHD patients. Psychological interventions for anxiety and depression in CHD patients have demonstrated small and uncertain effects of symptoms, and no effect on cardiovascular outcomes. Therefore, testing the effectiveness of specific psychological interventions that may affect central mechanisms for cardiovascular outcomes, has been requested. The Attention training (ATT) Study is a randomized controlled trial comparing group-attention training to wait-list control in 64 patients who experience significant anxiety and depression after a CHD event. It will also be explored whether reduction in psychological symptoms is correlated with changes in biological markers with a potential link to cardiovascular outcomes.

NCT ID: NCT05621083 Recruiting - Healthy Clinical Trials

Omega-3 Fatty Acids on Fasting and Postprandial Triglycerides (TG) Response - a Pilot Study

Omega 3-PT
Start date: April 11, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this project is to elucidate how repeated exposure with omega-3 fatty acid supplementation for 6 weeks affect mean and individual fasting lipids and inflammatory responses and postprandial TG after a high fat meal with butter (50 g fat) in healthy subjects.

NCT ID: NCT05617508 Recruiting - Alzheimer Disease Clinical Trials

N-DOSE AD: A Dose Optimization Trial of Nicotinamide Riboside in Alzheimer's Disease

Start date: November 22, 2022
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this double-blinded placebo-controlled randomized trial is to determine the optimal dose of nicotinamide riboside (NR), in individuals with Alzheimer's disease (AD). The main questions the N-DOSE AD trial aims to answer are: What dose of nicotinamide riboside (NR) is required to achieve maximal cerebral nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) increase, measured by 31P-magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) or cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) metabolomics)? What dose of nicotinamide riboside (NR) is required to achieve maximal alteration in the cerebral metabolism patterns, measured by fluorodeoxyglucose-positron emission tomography (FDG-PET)? What dose of nicotinamide riboside (NR) will have optimal effect in the absence of unacceptable toxicity? Participants will be asked to do participate in: Clinical examinations Cognitive assessments Lumbar puncture Magnetic resonance imaging - positron emission tomography (MRI-PET) scannings Biosampling They'll be given placebo, 1000 mg NR or escalating doses of NR (1000 mg - 2000 mg - 3000 mg) over 12 weeks.

NCT ID: NCT05615402 Recruiting - Cerebral Palsy Clinical Trials

Intervention on Bone Health in Wheelchair Users

BoneWheel
Start date: December 1, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The low mechanical loading of bones among wheelchair users leads to an increased risk of bone fractures and associated complications due to low bone mineral density (BMD). Adding mechanical loading through physical activity in combination with optimizing nutrition may counteract these negative consequences in wheelchair users and thereby provide positive impact for bone health, as well as for physical and mental health. In this project, a multidisciplinary team will tailor a bone-specific exercise and nutrition program to increase BMD in sport active and non-active wheelchair users with initial low BMD.

NCT ID: NCT05614739 Recruiting - Neoplasm Metastasis Clinical Trials

A Study of LOXO-435 in Participants With Cancer With a Change in a Gene Called FGFR3

Start date: January 12, 2023
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The main purpose of this study is to learn more about the safety, side effects, and effectiveness of LOXO-435. LOXO-435 may be used to treat cancer of the cells that line the urinary system and other solid tumor cancers that have a change in a particular gene (known as the FGFR3 gene). Participation could last up to 30 months (2.5 years) and possibly longer if the disease does not get worse.
