ROSTRA is an international, prospective, non-randomized, single-arm, multi-center, and post-market study to collect real-world safety and effectiveness data on Abbott's IonicRF™Generator and compatible RFA accessories. This post-market study is intended to satisfy EU MDR requirements. The study will enroll up to 180 subjects at up to 10 sites in Europe and the United States. The total duration of the study is expected to be 19 months, including enrollment, data collection from all subjects, and study closeout.
In Turkey, 63% of geriatric people who make up approximately 8.3% of the entire population live in their own living environment, 36% live with their children and 1% live in nursing homes. The number of individuals living in nursing homes is increasing as the nuclear family structure becomes more evident. National Social Security programs give special importance to nursing home restructuring and Social Health Policy aims to increase practices related to "aging in place" and "Active and Healthy Ageing" for geriatric individuals. In this context, projects aimed at preventing secondary negative symptoms in aging and supporting the quality aging process are outstanding. The aim of this study is to assess and compare cognitive functions, balance, musculoskeletal pain severity, psychological state, participation level in activities of daily living, and quality of life of geriatric individuals living different environments.
Patients with cancer often suffer from a symptom cluster, including pain, fatigue, sleep difficulties, emotional distress and cognitive impairments. In oncology settings, there is a growing interest in "mind-body" intervention, to relieve them in a non-pharmacological way. Hypnosis and meditation are two modified state of consciousness shown to positively this symptom cluster. Cognitive trance is also a modified state of consciousness, but is induced by body movements and/or vocalizations. Subjective reports of experts in cognitive trance showed a modification of self, emotion regulation, pain perception, attention and concentration. However, we still need to develop studies to better characterise this particular state of consciousness and its clinical applications. Our randomized-controlled trial aims at comparing both interventions in terms of (1) benefits on cancer patients' quality of life (pain, fatigue, sleep, distress, cognitive impairments), (2) phenomenological/subjective experiences and neurophysiological correlates, and (3) mechanisms involved in patients' responsiveness, based on the biopsychosocial model of hypnosis.
The originality of this study is the comparison of different distractibility techniques (hypnosis and virtual reality) in the very heterogenous contexts of pain management. This study will consider all types of care situations. The study's cross-over design will take into account this heterogenous context. The results will be representative of real-life situations where care for pain involves a wide range of contexts.

Poor adherence to pain management and high pain intensity associated with serious, advanced illness is a major public health concern. This randomized clinical trial will test the efficacy of a newly enhanced digital pain and pain management application (e-PainSupport) for use in a home hospice setting. The e-PainSupport application delivers an education module about pain management to patients and caregivers, expedites pain reporting to nurses, and facilitates adherence to pain management. The overall goal of the e-PainSupport application is to improve pain management and reduce patient pain intensity in the home hospice setting.
