The QP ExCELs study is designed to confirm safety and efficacy of the BIOTRONIK Sentus OTW QP left ventricular leads to satisfy FDA requirements for regulatory approval of the leads in the US. The Sentus OTW QP leads received FDA approval on May 4, 2017. Long-term safety of the BIOTRONIK Sentus OTW QP left ventricular leads will be confirmed during the ongoing post approval phase (US sites only). A protocol update was implemented on September 6, 2019 to transition the long-term follow up for the ongoing Sentus QP Study to a new EP PASSION real-world data methodology.

Spot Urinary Analysis to Assess Loop Diuretic Efficiency in Stable Heart Failure

The primary objective of this study is to assess whether the urinary sodium/creatinine or chloride/creatinine ratio might predict successful downtitration of loop diuretics in patients with stable heart failure without clinical signs of volume overload. In addition, this study will provide information on loop diuretic efficiency and urinary electrolyte composition after intake of diuretics in stable outpatients with heart failure.

This is a multicenter, prospective, randomized clinical trial (pilot study). 20 participants with diastolic heart failure will be assigned to ventilation therapy (AutoSet CS ™ ASV device; therapy group). The trial will run for 6 months, after which change in echocardiographic parameters of diastolic left ventricular function, sleep and quality of life parameters will be evaluated.

Study to Evaluate the Effectiveness of Cardiac Rehabilitation (Rehab) for Acute Decompensated Heart Failure Patients on 6 Minute Walk Test and Quality of Life

The aim of the investigators' project is to determine if patients admitted with a primary diagnosis of heart failure to Sanford Health facilities in regional southeastern South Dakota demonstrate benefits in improvement in functional capacity, quality of life, and a reduction in hospital readmission rates from a cardiac rehab program immediately following a discharge for an acute decompensated heart failure diagnosis related inpatient hospitalization encounter. The investigators hypothesize that those that receive cardiac rehab will have improved quality of life and reduced readmission rates at 30 and 90 days.
