Filter by:The study will be conducted in two parts (part A and part B). The main purpose of this study is to compare the amount of LY3209590 that gets into the blood stream and how long it takes the body to get rid of it, when self-administered at different body sites, abdominal wall, upper arm and thigh (part A), when administered by two different routes of injection, subcutaneously or intravenously (part B) in healthy participants. The study may last up to 65 (part A) and 184 (part B) days, respectively.
The main purpose of this study is to evaluate how much Metformin gets into the bloodstream and how long the body takes to get rid of it when it is administered orally in combination with LY3556050 in healthy participants. Iohexol will be administered to evaluate kidney function. Each enrolled participant will remain in the study for up to 7 weeks including the screening period.
The GATEKEEPER project, funded by the European Commission's HORIZON 2020 innovation framework, aims to ensure healthier independent living for ageing populations. To this end, GATEKEEPER aims to develop an open, European-wide, standards-based, interoperable and secure platform, available to all stakeholders (healthcare professionals, technology companies and users), offering digital solutions on the Internet of Things, Big Data or Artificial Intelligence, or new techniques, for early detection and personalised interventions to ensure healthier independent living for ageing populations. GATEKEEPER will demonstrate its value by scaling up innovative solutions, during a 48-month work plan that will involve 40.000 elderly citizens, as well as authorities, institutions, companies, associations and academic centres from 8 pilot regions in 7 EU Member States. The pilots sites will deploy and demonstrate the effect, benefit, value and scalability of GATEKEEPER solutions around reference use cases covering primary, secondary and terciary prevention in the Basque Country (Spain), Aragon (Spain), Attica and Central Greece (Greece), Cyprus (Cyprus), Lodz (Poland), Milton Keynes (UK), Puglia (Italy) and Saxony (Germany). The Basque Country pilot site is involved in the Reference Use Cases focused to "Lifestyle-related early detection". The intervention aims to encourage active and healthy ageing by the use of a self-managed mobile application, thereby to enhance independence, autonomy and improve the well-being of older people, promoting their physical, cognitive and mental activity and social participation. This quasi-experimental and longitudinal study is target to 10,000 older people and/or their caregivers from the Basque Country region. A multi-channel and community-based recruitment strategy at Basque regional level has been designed that involves 39 community-based organizations from the Basque Health Ecosystem.
The goal of this clinical trial is to test effect of dietary management program based on the nudge strategy in gestational diabetes mellitus patients. The main questions it aims to answer is whether the dietary management program is effective for the diet management behavior of gestational diabetes mellitus patients. Participants will receive a 12 week dietary management program. The intervention group will receive a diet management program based on the nudge strategy, and the control group will receive a routine dietary management program. Researchers will compare two group's glycemic control and pregnancy outcomes and to see if effective for the diet management behavior.
The main objective of this trial is to investigate the possible effect of multiple oral doses of BI 425809 on the steady state pharmacokinetics of ethinylestradiol (EE) and levonogestrel (LNG) (administered as the combined oral contraceptive Microgynon®).
A proof of science clinical study with randomized, four-arm, comparative, single-blind, within the arm - Dose-Response Study to evaluate the safety and efficacy of different collagen peptide-containing test treatments in adult human subjects. The dose-response will be evaluated for the effectiveness of each test treatment in three different dosages that is 2.5 g Versus 5 g Versus 10 g. 22 subjects will be enrolled per dose per test treatment to complete 20 subjects per dose per test treatment.
The purpose of the study is to assess the effect of a dietary intervention that includes the consumption of a novel functional yogurt (enriched with probiotics and polyphenols) on the blood biomarkers of healthy participants.
The main purpose of this study is to assess the amount of study drug that reaches the bloodstream and the time it takes for the body to get rid of it when given to participants with renal (kidney) impairment compared to healthy participants. The study will last up to 5 weeks, excluding screening.
The overarching aim of the project is to assess whether structure learning is an effective tool to train and improve cognitive flexibility and whether this is transferable to learning and other cognitive skills. The investigators will employ a multi-modal approach that combine both cognitive-behavioural and neuroimaging measures to examine how functional brain activations and/or cognitive performances are affected when participants go through a structure learning training paradigm relative to a working memory training paradigm (active control) or a no-training paradigm (passive control).
This project aims to create a methodological framework, including the discovery and validation of novel biomarker panels to decipher the impact of plant-based protein intake on health biomarkers. Moreover, the possibility of predicting biomarkers production will be tested by a colonic in vitro fermentation study using study participants' faecal samples.
