This study aims to evaluate post-exercise recovery in healthy young men submitted to a prolonged exercise protocol of submaximal intensity with or without water intake, from the integrated analysis of autonomic (heart rate variability indices), cardiovascular outcomes (systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure and heart rate) and respiratory (oxygen saturation and respiratory frequency). In addition, it will also be evaluated whether the proposed model is able to estimate the number of individuals undergoing hydration that have better recovery.
The main purpose of this study is to determine the effect of pirtobrutinib on the levels of rosuvastatin in the blood stream in healthy participants. This study will also evaluate the safety and tolerability of rosuvastatin when administered in combination with pirtobrutinib in healthy participants. This study will last up to approximately 26 days excluding screening period.
Lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) is a classic serotonergic psychedelic acting on the serotonin 5-HT2A receptor. LSD is used recreationally and in psychiatric research. First studies suggest efficacy in psychiatric disorders, such as depression and anxiety. SSRIs like paroxetine are first-line treatments for depression and anxiety disorders. Paroxetine acts as a serotonin transporter (SERT) inhibitor. However, the link between this mechanism and its positive effects on mood remains to be established. Several studies suggest a possible downregulation of postsynaptic serotonin (5-HT) receptors such as the 5-HT2A receptor. The aim of the study is to assess whether SERT inhibition reduces expression of the gene coding for the 5-HT2A receptor and the response to LSD.

This is an open-label, one-arm, one-time-point pilot assessing the intra- and inter-group variation of gut microbiome collection methods and storage conditions using metagenomic sequencing for analysis. This study recruited 6 adult volunteers collecting 12 fecal samples from one bowel movement. Subjects were given detailed instructions as to collect and store feces samples into the 4 different collection and preservation methods and return samples for metagenomic analysis.
This is a Phase 1 (healthy adult volunteers), 2-part, double-blind, randomized, placebo controlled trial to evaluate the safety and pharmacokinetic (PK) profiles of escalating single doses of Niclosamide Inhalation Powder versus placebo (SAD part) and escalating multiple doses of Niclosamide Inhalation Powder versus placebo (MAD part). SAD part will be initiated first and includes a sentinel design. MAD part will not utilize a sentinel design unless the data monitoring committee requests the addition of sentinels. The MAD part will be initiated once the lowest doses from SAD part are deemed safe.
