Exercise has been shown to influence the immune system and, for example, improve anti-viral immune response. However, knowledge of how exercise impacts the immune system is still lacking. Therefore, the goal of this clinical study is to perform a comprehensive multi-parameter analysis of immunological parameters in healthy participants before and after one bout of high-intensity aerobic exercise. The primary endpoint of this study is to determine the exercise-induced changes of anti-viral T cell immunity in peripheral blood against common and recurrent viruses. Up to 70 healthy participants in the age between 18 and 75 will be recruited. The first visit will be for prescreening the health status, answering questionnaires and providing a capillary blood sample for HLA screening. HLA-A2 positive participants will continue on the trial with a VO2 max test for Visit 2 and the supervised aerobic medium- to high-intensity (90% VO2 max) exercise session for Visit 3. Peripheral blood samples will be taken pre-exercise, within 2 minutes post-exercise and 60 minutes post-exercise. These findings may pave the way to define serum markers or cellular immunological traits that provide new insight into how exercise promotes powerful and sustained cellular immune responses.
The main purpose of this study is to conduct blood tests to measure how much LY3537982 is in the bloodstream and how the body handles and eliminates LY3537982 after meals and on an empty stomach. The study will also evaluate the safety and tolerability of LY3537982. Participants will stay in the research center during the study, which will last about one week, not including screening.
The purpose of this study is to learn how Itraconazole affects the blood level of PF-07817883 in Healthy Adults. This study is seeking participants who are: - male and female aged 18 to 65 years old, - overtly healthy. This can be determined my medical evaluation, medical history, lab tests etc. This study will consist of 2 parts, Period 1 and Period 2. Period 1: participants will take PF-07817883 one time by mouth at the study clinic. Period 2: participants will take PF-07817883 one time by mouth at the study clinic. They will also take daily itraconazole by mouth for 7 days. Participants will stay at the study clinic for 2 weeks in total. The study doctors will collect blood and urine samples from everyone. The study doctors will check participants' reactions to the study medicine for safety measures. There is a follow-up call at 28 to 35 days from the last dose of PF-07817883. Itraconazole is an approved medicine. It is also a metabolism inhibitor. When taken with some medicines, it affects the actual level of these medicines in the body. This study will compare blood levels of PF-07817883 given with and without Itraconazole. This will help decide safety and right amount for PF-07817883 when given with metabolism inhibitors.
The goal of this clinical trial was to compare to different types of high-intensity interval training in young, healthy females. The main questions were: Will changes in body composition differ between the two interventions? Will changes in endurance and muscle performance differ between the two interventions? Participants were randomized to 8 weeks of high-intensity interval training involving body weight, plyometric exercises or cycling only. Researchers compared changes in endurance performance, body composition, and muscle performance to determine if there were differences between groups.
For this interventional study the investigators will recruit a number of healthy volunteers with no symptoms in their lower limbs in the past 6 months and without history of foot and/or ankle conditions and/or surgery. These volunteers will undergo a single Dynamic Computerized Tomography scan session before and after the support is carried, to find out if there is a change in the kinematics of the foot. The results will be analyzed statistically.
The purpose of the study is to test an evaluation environment based on a device that has the ability to provide the user with tactile (haptic) sensations. This environment will be used to investigate how the arm movements of a healthy person are performed, and then - at a later stage - to find out whether it is possible to measure changes during musculoskeletal pain. Electrical signals produced by the brain (called electroencephalogram or EEG) will be recorded by means of electrodes on the surface of the scalp (non-invasive). In addition, the angle of the elbow joint during movement will be measured, with the intention of using objective measures to aid future evidence-based clinical decision making. It is expected that the developed environment can be used -in the near future-, to evaluate the progression of pathologies associated with muscle pain, or to quantify the effectiveness of rehabilitation therapies.
This will be a Phase 1, open-label, single dose study of the Absorption, Metabolism, and Excretion of CYC065 in healthy male subjects.
