Filter by:Co-ingesting protein with carbohydrate is an effective way to improve postprandial glucose handling. The investigators have isolated and identified a bioactive protein extracted from seaweed. The investigators aim to explore how varying doses of seaweed protein influence postprandial glycaemia and insulinaemia in a healthy population.
This research study is being done to provide comparative data to the Mayo Clinic Adult Congenital Heart Disease Registry.
All enrolled participants will be randomized to 3 cohorts with 8 participants each and will receive BAP5191 and placebo topically on a square of 121 cm2 each in the left and right scapula region daily for 28 days, with a 28-d safety follow-up. The squares will be covered with a semi-occlusive patch. The doses will escalate from Cohort 1 to Cohort 2 to Cohort 3.
This is a study to collect data to build, evaluate and validate (test) a tool to infer/predict an estimated microbiome (community of microorganisms such as bacteria, fungi and viruses that exists in a particular environment) profile. The study will take place at several hospitals/clinics across Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.
The overall aim is to to provide a normal material for the composition and spatial heterogeneity of the following in the healthy lung: i) immune cell populations and their activation patterns, ii) the surrounding cytokine-chemokine milieu, including trans-compartmental fluxes of these mediators between the lung and bloodstream, and iii) the lung microbiome. Main hypotheses: - Absolute and relative immune cell counts in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) are similar to those previously reported by other methods6,7. - No trans-compartmental flux of cytokines between the lungs and bloodstream is present, but cytokine concentrations (notably IL-6 and IL-8) vary with the immune-cell-microbiome composition. - Immune cell (mainly T cell) activation, differentiation, and gene expression patterns are expected to differ between blood and BALF in a manner that depends on the regional diversity of the pulmonary microbiome.
This is a Phase I, Single-center, Randomized, Double-blind, Placebo-controlled Study to Evaluate the Safety and Tolerability of ILB-202 Administered Intravenously as Single Ascending Doses to Healthy Participants. Male or female subjects aged 18 to 50 years (inclusive) who fulfill the inclusion/exclusion criteria will be enrolled in this study.
To evaluate the single-center, open, randomized, single-dose, two-cycle, two-sequence, cross-over bioequivalence of test preparation apixaban tablet 2.5mg and reference preparation 2.5mg in healthy adult subjects in fasting and fed state
The main purpose of this study is to assess the amount of study drug (LY3819469) that reaches the bloodstream and the time it takes for the body to get rid of it when given to participants with renal (kidney) impairment compared to participants with normal renal function. The safety and tolerability of LY3819469 will also be evaluated in these participants. The study will last up to 17 weeks including screening period.
The main purpose of this study is to evaluate how much LY3502970 gets into the bloodstream and how long it takes the body to eliminate when administered orally as tablet and capsule formulations along with effect of food on LY3502970 in healthy overweight and obese participants. The study will also evaluate the safety and tolerability of LY3502970 in these participants. The study is conducted in two parts (part A and B) and will last up to 135 days including the screening period.
The "cLabel+ Innovative natural, nutritious and consumer-oriented clean label food" is a research and technological development project centered on responding to the challenges facing the food industry. It is focused on the concept of "clean label", which emerges as one of the major current trends in the sector, given the growing number of consumers who are increasingly aware and eager for information, who are looking for alternative, more transparent and natural food products. Thus, one of the aims of the cLabel+ project is to research the macronutrients and phenolic compounds present in food matrices and achieve a clean label positioning for the final products developed. This single group assignment clinical trial aims to evaluate the effect of daily consumption of a fruit juice, developed as part of the collaborative project cLabel+, on gut microbiota composition and diversity in healthy adults. It is also intended to study the acute metabolic effect, namely in terms of appetite control, and lipid and glucose metabolism.
