A Study of Lasmiditan in Healthy Volunteers

The main purpose of the study is to investigate the blood concentrations of dabigatran etexilate and rosuvastatin when taken alone compared to when taken together with lasmiditan in healthy participants. The safety and tolerability of dabigatran etexilate or rosuvastatin in combination with lasmiditan will also be evaluated in healthy participants. The study has two parts. Each part will last up to 17 days, not including screening.

Effects of Barley and Oat Breads on Appetite

This study aimed to compare the postprandial effects of ß-glucan derived from oats bread (OB) and barley bread (BB) on appetite and glycemia. A randomized, double-blind, crossover trial included 20 healthy individuals. All participants consumed BB, white bread (WB), and whole wheat bread (WWB) with a standard breakfast and then were served an ad libitum lunch on four different days. A visual analog scale (VAS) was used to assess appetite before breakfast and at 15, 30, 60, 90, 120, 150, and 180 minutes after breakfast. Blood glucose levels were measured at 0, 15, 30, 45, 60, 90, and 120 minutes. Postprandial appetite and glucose responses were quantified as the incremental area under the curve (iAUC) calculated according to the trapezoidal rule.

Acute Respiratory Illness Surveillance (AcRIS) With Mobile Application in a Low-Interventional Decentralized Study.

The purpose of the AcRIS study is to obtain data to characterize the relationship between symptoms and voice features for (reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) confirmed severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), influenza virus, or Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) positive participants with acute viral respiratory illness. This data will be used as the basis to build voice and symptom algorithm(s) for detection and monitoring of these illnesses. This would benefit vaccine development across several key disease areas, including SARS-CoV-2, influenza virus and RSV. The study also models concepts of more efficient "flexible" clinical trials involving not only voice capture, but also web-based participant recruitment, enhanced participant engagement, and remote sample collection that could make future clinical studies more efficient. The clinical data obtained in this observational study could provide the documentation of the technology's performance needed to enable its deployment in future interventional studies.

The aim of the study was to examine the adaptive response to recreational soccer, conducted as small-sided games, and the effect of supplementing with either protein or carbohydrate after each training session in 10 weeks. One hundred fifty one middle-aged women and men were randomized into a group ingesting protein or carbohydrate beverages immediately after recreational soccer and prior to bedtime on training days or a control group maintained their normal activities. Training was performed 2.1 times per week for 10 weeks.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the cerebral activation during Classic Mirror Therapy (TMC) and especially during Virtual Mirror Therapy (TMV) in healthy subjects. It seems that the precuneus is involved in the effectiveness of mirror therapy. One goal of this study is to determine if there is a better activation of the precuneus during TMV than during TMC. Others goals are to compare cerebral activation during three different tasks (TMV, TMC and a simple motor task), to study the intra-subjects reproducibility of the measurement and the correlation between cerebral activation and feelings of the participants about the efficacity of the tasks.
