There are about 173942 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in United States. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This is a randomized, 4-period, placebo-controlled, crossover, phase 2 clinical study to examine the efficacy and safety of AD109 versus its individual components or placebo in patients with obstructive sleep apnea.
This study is designed to investigate the safety and efficacy of collagenase clostridium histolyticum (CCH) for the treatment of mild to moderate edematous fibrosclerotic panniculopathy (cellulite) in participants with moderate to severe dermal laxity in the buttocks or thighs with comparison between two (2) different CCH injection techniques.
This open-label, entry-into-human (EIH) study will evaluate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics (PK), and pharmacodynamics of RO7283420. Escalating doses of RO7283420 will be administered to participants with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) in order to determine the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) and/or recommended Phase II dose (RP2D).
The AMBR Study (ADHOC Mindfulness-Based Research Study) is a randomized controlled trial that examines the effectiveness of teaching mindfulness-based techniques through online lessons to combat loneliness, anxiety, and depression among people living with HIV over the age of 50. It is a substudy of the ADHOC study (ClinicalTrials.gov identifier NCT04311554).
The study aims to determine if a popular dextrose candy alternative yields a similar glycemic curve compared to the standard oral Dextrose solution used in the Oral Glucose Tolerance Test.
Sickle cell disease (SCD) is a common genetic disorder characterized by episodes of pain, yet programs to assist SCD adolescents with better identification and communication about pain are lacking. Research shows that interactive gaming technology can enhance adolescents' learning, and can be especially effective in delivering health-related messages and tools to improve self-care. Pinpoint is an interactive gaming app that will be tested in a Phase II project to determine whether the app assists SCD teens with improving their communication and identification skills for pain self-report.
The primary objective of this study is to assess the clinical performance of LIVERFAStTM In Vitro Diagnostic (IVD) Tests (Fibrosis score, Activity score and Steatosis score) in NAFLD suspected patients for staging of fibrosis and for grading of inflammatory activity and steatosis, taking as reference the liver biopsy with histological classification of the elementary lesions determined according to SAF scores (Bedossa P., Hepatology 2012). The secondary objective is to assess the performance of LIVERFAStTM for the histological definition of NAFLD, including NAFL and NASH and severe NASH
The Southeast Permanente Medical Group (TSPMG) at Kaiser Permanente Georgia provides performance feedback to its providers. The performance feedback designs can vary and change over time in terms of targets, summary statistics, included measures, and frequency of delivery. The TSPMG health services research group seek to compare different performance feedback designs to identify which are most effective at contributing to performance improvement. The research team will randomly assign providers into different performance feedback conditions, as specified in the protocol. Providers will receive performance feedback through the standard mechanism in which it is conveyed by their supervisor. The objective is to investigate how to design performance feedback for providers to best motivate and support them in improving performance along with existing strategic priorities for care delivery. The reserach team will test alternative designs of performance feedback that vary on the following dimension: 1) targets for comparison of one's own performance
The purpose of this research study is to determine if high-frequency, rapid turn-around SARS-CoV-2 surveillance testing with this assay is feasible and able to be optimized to enable isolation and follow-up diagnostic testing. This test will be performed at various locations in the Madison, Wisconsin area using a mobile laboratory or standard lab space for processing. Saliva samples can be collected and processed at these locations or participants can self-collect at home and drop their samples off at designated locations for same day processing. Up to 10000 participants will be recruited for this study.
Background: COVID-19 is a new disease caused by SARS-CoV-2 that was identified in 2019. Some people who get sick with COVID-19 become ill requiring hospitalization. There are some medicines that may help with recovery. Researchers want to see if a drug called fostamatinib may help people who are hospitalized with COVID-19. Objective: To learn if fostamatinib is safe in patients who are hospitalized with COVID-19 and gain earlier insight into whether it improves outcomes. Eligibility: Adults age 18 and older who are hospitalized with COVID-19. Design: Participants will be screened with a physical exam, including vital signs and weight. They will have a blood test and chest x-ray. They will have a COVID-19 test as a swab of either the back of the throat or the back of the nose. They will take a pregnancy test if needed. Participants will be randomly assigned, to take either fostamatinib pills or a placebo twice daily for up to 14 days in addition to standard of care for COVID-19. If they can swallow, they will take the pills by mouth with water. If they cannot swallow or are on mechanical ventilation, the pills will be crushed, mixed with water, and given through a tube placed through the nostril, or placed in the mouth, down the esophagus, and into the stomach. Blood samples will be taken daily. Participants will return to the Clinical Center for safety follow-up visits. At these visits, they will have a physical exam and blood tests. If they cannot visit the Clinical Center, they will be contacted by phone or have a telehealth visit. Participation will last for about two months
