The goal of this randomized trial is to determine the optimal combination and sequence of three enhancements for a team-based care model for patients living with diabetes in Chicago. The study aim is to determine optimization of intervention components. Participants will be randomly assigned to diabetes self-management training or remote glucose monitoring. After 6 months, participants will be rerandomized to a subsequent study arm (including a CHW support program) depending on a tailoring variable of change in A1c. Researchers will compare the final 6 study arms to see which combination and sequence of enhancements produces the most improvement in A1c.

This study will test polatuzumab vedotin in combination with rituximab in patients with treatment-naïve CD20-positive post-transplant lymphoproliferative disorder (PTLD) based on the established efficacy of polatuzumab vedotin in B-cell lymphomas and the inadequate response rate of PTLD to single-agent rituximab. The hypothesis is that this combination therapy will be safe, well-tolerated, and effective. If so, patients with PTLD will be able to be spared the toxicity of anthracycline-based chemotherapy. Additionally, the role of the tumor microenvironment and the role of anellovirus, a non-human pathogen virus, will be explored as prognostic markers in PTLD.
The current protocol is composed of two studies. The first study is designed to carefully evaluate the safety of high-dose salmeterol/fluticasone (Advair HFA) versus placebo (hydrofluoroalkane, HFA) administration over 7 days, as well as the efficacy of the study drug to increase exercise performance, in healthy individuals exercising under hypoxic, simulated high-altitude conditions (Phase 1/2a study). The second study will examine sensitive measures of cardiopulmonary function using invasive cardiopulmonary testing, in both HAPE-sensitive and HAPE-resistant individuals, to assess the potential efficacy of salmeterol/fluticasone to prevent pulmonary edema and to enhance exercise capacity (Phase 2a) in these individuals.
This comparative effectiveness trial (CET) in children with suspected focal cerebral arteriopathy (FCA) presenting with arterial ischemic stroke (AIS) or transient ischemic attack (TIA) will compare the use of early corticosteroid treatment (Arm A) versus delayed/no corticosteroid treatment (Arm B). Delayed corticosteroid treatment is given only for those demonstrating disease progression and is initiated as soon as the progression is detected (at any time after randomization). All participants will also receive standard of care therapy (aspirin and supportive care). Sites will randomize participants 1:1 to Arm A or B. Participants will be enrolled and randomized as soon as possible after their stroke/TIA up until 96 hours following the initial stroke/TIA event.
The purpose of this study is to determine whether a 16-week supervised, clinic-based circuit training intervention utilizing resistance and functional exercises and self-directed aerobic exercise will improve frailty and sarcopenic status and disease progression outcomes among pre-frail/frail metastatic prostate cancer patients receiving androgen deprivation therapy (ADT). The purpose of this study is to measure the efficacy and safety of durvalumab intravenous (IV) solution plus bevacizumab IV solution after transarterial radioembolization (Yttrium 90 glass microspheres TARE) in participants with unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) amenable to embolization.
The purpose of this Phase III study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of tozorakimab administered subcutaneously (SC) in adult participants with symptomatic COPD with a history of ≥ 2 moderate or ≥ 1 severe exacerbations of COPD in the 12 months prior to enrolment. Participants should be receiving optimised treatment with inhaled maintenance therapy (ICS/LABA/LAMA triple therapy, or dual therapy if triple is not considered appropriate) throughout at least the last 3 months prior to enrolment.
The purpose of this randomized trial is to conduct a fully powered effectiveness trial of video-delivered PROTECT (Tele-PROTECT) compared to a video-delivered depression education (DepEd) control condition to be delivered to 140 English- and Spanish-speaking NYC elder abuse victims. Investigators hypothesize three main aims: 1. Effectiveness Aim: Tele-PROTECT participants will have significantly greater and clinically meaningful reductions in depression when compared to the DepEd control; 2. Abuse Impact Aim: Tele-PROTECT participants will demonstrate greater safety related empowerment compared to DepEd control, which can help participants take steps to reduce risk; 3. Implementation Aim: Stakeholders' views of the factors impacting the implementation of Tele-PROTECT based on characteristics of the intervention, agency setting, and population served will contribute to a national dissemination of Tele-PROTECT Participants will - Receive 9 weeks of tele health psychotherapy delivered by a Master's level mental health clinician from the Weill Cornell Medicine research team. Participants will be assigned to "Tele-PROTECT" or "DepEd" psychotherapy randomly. - Participate in one baseline assessment and four follow-up assessments at weeks 3, 6, 9, and 12 administered by a trained member of the research team.
