NCT ID: NCT06062264 Active, not recruiting - Influenza Clinical Trials

Patient Portal Flu Vaccine Reminders (RCT 6)

Start date: October 3, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This trial is taking place in Los Angeles, CA at 21 clinics within the UCLA Health System. The study design is a 3 arm randomized trial. Patients will be randomized into 1) receiving portal based reminder messages with a video from their PCP encouraging them to receive the influenza vaccine, 2) portal-based reminder messages with an infographic with the image of their PCP encouraging them to receive the influenza vaccine, or 3) the control group. Patients randomized to the intervention arms will receive reminders if they are due for influenza vaccine. Despite the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) recommendation in 2010 that all people above 6 months of age should receive an annual flu vaccine, vaccination rates remain low: at 6m-4.9 yrs. (70%), 5-17.9 yrs. (56%), 18-64.9 yrs. (38%), and >65 yrs. (63%). The investigators will assess the effectiveness of MyChart R/R video messages and infographic messages as compared to the standard of care control (Health system messages).

NCT ID: NCT06062069 Recruiting - Overweight Clinical Trials

A Study of CT-868 in Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus

Start date: October 19, 2023
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This study will evaluate the changes in glycemic control in overweight and obese adults with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus after receiving CT-868 for 16 weeks. The effectiveness and safety of CT-868 will be compared to placebo. All participants will continue with their standard diabetes care using either an insulin pump (CSII) or multiple daily injections (MDI). Alongside their designated treatment, participants will receive guidance on managing their diabetes, including monitoring blood glucose levels and diet and exercise recommendations. Treatment assignments, either CT-868 plus insulin or placebo plus insulin will be randomly determined.

NCT ID: NCT06062056 Enrolling by invitation - Vaccine Hesitancy Clinical Trials

NCT ID: NCT06062043 Recruiting - Pelvic Pain Clinical Trials

Pelvic Pain Education and Skills Training for Women Veterans

Start date: March 4, 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The goals of this pilot randomized clinical trial are three-fold: 1) to test the feasibility of conducting a larger randomized trial using a brief Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT) group intervention for women veterans with pelvic pain compared to usual care; 2) assess treatment acceptability by women veterans, and 3) identify appropriate pain-related treatment outcomes for the larger randomized trial. Participants will be randomly assigned to participate in either the ACT condition or treatment as usual condition, complete three surveys (before, after, and 3-months after first survey), and complete a phone interview (if assigned to the ACT condition). Researchers will compare the ACT condition and treatment as usual condition to see if there are meaningful differences in health outcomes. Due to the small sample size and pilot nature of this study, significance testing will not be performed.

Kaiser Permanente Evaluating Nutritional Interventions in Food-Insecure High-Risk Adults Study

KP ENRICH
Start date: October 1, 2023
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this randomized controlled trial is to compare the effect of receiving 6 months of monetary support for healthy food through a food delivery platform on change in glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) levels among adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus with glycemic control that is above target level. The main study aims are to: 1. To evaluate whether providing monthly financial support for home-delivered healthy food vs. only free food delivery through the Instacart platform reduces glycosylated hemoglobin levels within 6 months among Medi-Cal-insured Kaiser Permanente adult members with diabetes mellitus and suboptimal glycemic control. 2. To evaluate whether providing monthly financial support for home-delivered healthy food vs. only free food delivery through the Instacart platform reduces medical resource utilization within 6 months among Medi-Cal-insured Kaiser Permanente adult members with diabetes mellitus and suboptimal glycemic control.
