There are about 173942 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in United States. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the ability of alvimopan to reduce the time to return of bowel function in patients undergoing cytoreductive surgery and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy. Half of the participants will receive alvimopan or and half will receive placebo immediately before and for up to seven days after surgery.
The objective of the study is to investigate the efficacy, safety and tolerability of BI 409306 once daily compared with placebo given for 28 weeks in patients with schizophrenia on antipsychotic treatment. The study is designed to show superiority of BI 409306 over placebo in preventing relapse of schizophrenia symptoms.
The purpose of this study is to investigate safety of experimental medication BMS-986242 and Nivolumab in patients with advanced cancers.
The study is designed as a randomized controlled trial. The investigators hypothesize that kidney transplant recipient candidates whose donors are offered reimbursement of lost wages (treatment arm) will have a higher probability of receiving a living donor kidney transplant than those randomized to no offer of lost wage reimbursement (control arm). The study expects to demonstrate incremental living donor kidney transplants by assisting individuals who wish to be living organ donors but would be otherwise unable to do so due to the obligatory forfeit of income during the evaluation, donation surgery, and post-operative recuperation periods.
This study will investigate if metformin can help people with obesity and high pressures inside their lung blood vessels. Metformin is approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to treat diabetes, but metformin is not approved by the FDA to treat pulmonary hypertension. This study will examine whether Metformin will improve the high pressure inside lung blood vessels in people who are obese. The study will help understand the effect of metformin on pressures inside lung blood vessels.
This Open Label Extension (OLE) study will assess the safety of long-term treatment with a 4 mL intra-articular injection of Ampion™ in adults with pain due to severe osteoarthritis of the knee
This prospective, multicenter observational study will examine the ability of model based fast anatomical mapping (mFAM) to create left atrial (LA) geometry for atrial fibrillation ablation.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of the combination of nivolumab plus epacadostat in combination with platinum chemotherapy compared with platinum chemotherapy alone, in participants with treatment-naïve Stage 4 or recurrent non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
The purpose of this study is to determine the safety and tolerability of a new HIV medication, bictegravir plus emtricitabine plus tenofovir alafenamide (B/FTC/TAF, 3 HIV medications combined into one pill) in HIV-infected transgender women (TW).
The purpose of the study is to evaluate changes in key clinical outcome measures (eg, motor, respiratory, fatigue) in adult subjects with late-onset Pompe disease (LOPD) subjects receiving standard-of-care enzyme replacement therapy (ERT). Additionally, information gained may be used in the design and conduct of future studies in LOPD subjects.
