The purpose of this study is to compare any good and bad effects of giving radiation treatment for breast cancer in 3 treatments over about 2 days.

NCT ID: NCT06185192 Recruiting - Diabetes Clinical Trials

Efficacy of Viome's Precision Nutrition Program Towards Reducing HbA1c

Start date: December 13, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This is a randomized, placebo-controlled trial that will test the efficacy of VPNP in reducing HbA1c. Participant recruitment will occur through direct-to-participant enrollment. No additional clinical sites will be used for recruitment.

NCT ID: NCT06185101 Recruiting - Chronic Pain Clinical Trials

Support, Training, and Education for Pain Self-Management Using Podcasts: A Pilot Trial

STEP-UP
Start date: May 2, 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This randomized Stage 1 pilot trial tests the feasibility of a community health worker (CHW) delivered chronic pain self-management intervention for older adults ("STEP-UP"; Support, Training, and Education for Pain Self-Management - Using Podcasts) in a primary care setting. A total of 40 participants aged 50+ with high-impact chronic pain will be randomized to intervention or control groups. The STEP-UP intervention will feature an educational podcast series teaching core pain self-management skills. Podcasts will be supplemented by sessions with a Community Health Worker taking place at designated times over a 7-week period. The Community Health Worker will guide participants in a modified Patient Priorities of Care approach to help them identify their values and priorities and develop goals that reflect these.

NCT ID: NCT06185088 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Short Bowel Syndrome

MENDD Tolerance Assessment Study

Start date: March 6, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study will utilize approved devices in an off-label manner to create forces required to induce intestinal lengthening. Radial and longitudinal forces are both required, and two devices will be used to create forces in order to test tolerability of said forces. This is to provide evidence that humans could tolerate the forces produced by a proposed commercially built device. This study will test the hypothesis that radial and longitudinal forces necessary to produce enterogenesis will cause low levels of discomfort in healthy adults. Approved devices will be utilized in an off-label manner to reproduce forces similar to our novel medical device which is designed to treat short bowel syndrome (SBS). This trial will not be testing a treatment for SBS, and individuals with SBS are ineligible for recruitment.

NCT ID: NCT06185075 Enrolling by invitation - Gum Disease Clinical Trials

Influence of Implant Crown Transmucosal Contour Design on Soft and Hard Tissue Clinical Outcomes

Start date: November 28, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study will evaluate how the crown's shape under the gums will influence the gum tissue around dental implants.

NCT ID: NCT06185023 Recruiting - Aphasia Clinical Trials

Effects of High-intensity Exercise Training on Physical Fitness, Cognition, Language in Post-stroke Aphasia

Start date: December 12, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this clinical trial is to establish the feasibility and fidelity of a high-intensity exercise program for individuals with post-stroke aphasia. The main questions it aims to answer are: - Is it feasible for stroke survivors with aphasia to participate in a long in-person physical exercise program? - Does participation in a physical exercise program lead to physical fitness, cognitive, language and/or psychological changes? Participants can take part in two different physical exercise interventions: - Low intensity intervention (control intervention); - High-intensity physical exercise intervention (target intervention).

NCT ID: NCT06184971 Recruiting - Biliary Atresia Clinical Trials

Biliary Atresia Research Network Northeast

BARNN
Start date: May 6, 2024
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This is a multi-center retrospective chart review to compile a data repository of the management and outcomes of children with biliary atresia. Overall, investigators aim to evaluate which specific factors contribute to improved patient outcomes, to help guide potential improvements in patient care and resource utilization.

NCT ID: NCT06184945 Not yet recruiting - Pain Clinical Trials

Behavioral Economic & Staffing Strategies in the ICU

BEST-ICU
Start date: July 1, 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The overarching goal of this study is to support the "real world" assessment of strategies used to foster adoption of several highly efficacious evidence-based practices in healthcare systems that provide care to critically ill adults with known health disparities. Investigators will specifically evaluate two discrete strategies grounded in behavioral economic and implementation science theory (i.e., real-time audit and feedback and registered nurse implementation facilitation) to increase adoption of the ABCDEF bundle in critically ill adults.
