NCT ID: NCT04327700 Suspended - Clinical trials for Hepatocellular Carcinoma

Study Of Intrabucally Administered Electromagnetic Fields and Regorafenib

Start date: January 26, 2021
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The primary goal of this study is to gather efficacy data concerning the progression-free survival rate with electromagnetic fields plus Regorafenib when compared to historical data with Regorafenib alone as a second-line therapy in patients with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma who have received any first line systemic therapy either standard of care Sorafenib or Lenvatinib or any experimental therapy. Patients who have received any treatment that includes either electromagnetic fields or Regorafenib will be excluded.

NCT ID: NCT04327557 Suspended - Anxiety Clinical Trials

Childbirth Education Pilot Study

Start date: July 2, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study aims to investigate the effects of mindfulness training on prenatal maternal anxiety using a randomized controlled trial (RCT). An RCT of mindfulness training for prenatal anxiety has distinct clinical and scientific advantages. The investigators will use the Mindfulness-Based Childbirth and Parenting (MBCP) intervention in this study to build on previous findings by focusing on anxiety in pregnancy while also teaching mindfulness skills shown to promote positive childbirth appraisals and sensitive parenting through mindful parenting skills that have been shown to be linked to maternal-infant stress physiology in other work. This study will enroll pregnant women with elevated anxiety (N = 60) who will be randomly assigned to the MBCP condition (n = 30) or an active control condition (a treatment as usual (TAU) condition; n = 30) which is a standard childbirth education class. Mothers will be assessed pre- and post-intervention and postpartum. Infant multi-modal neuroimaging will occur at age 1 month, at home questionnaire follow-up will occur at age 3 months, and a behavioral observation of parenting and child social-emotional functioning will occur at age 12 months. The hypothesis is that there will be greater benefits from MBCP relative to TAU controls, and enhanced connectivity between the amygdala and relevant cortico-limbic areas in from MBCP relative to TAU controls.

NCT ID: NCT04322305 Suspended - Clinical trials for Alcohol Use Disorder

Pregabalin Trial for the Treatment of Alcohol Use Disorder

GABI2
Start date: January 11, 2021
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

In a 10-week randomized double-blind placebo-controlled outpatient pilot trial the efficacy of pregabalin in the treatment of alcohol dependence will be studied in 50 treatment-seeking outpatients. Participants will report drinking a minimum of 5 standard drinks for men or 4 standard drinks for women at least 4 days per week over the past 28 days.

NCT ID: NCT04312763 Suspended - Blindness, Acquired Clinical Trials

A Validation of the Functional Low-Vision Observer Rated Assessment (FLORA-20) for Profoundly Blind Individuals

FLORA-20
Start date: March 6, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This study aims to validate an observer-rated assessment titled "Functional Low-Vision Observer Rated Assessment (FLORA-20)", which comprises 20 functional vision tasks commonly performed in or around a blind individual's home environment. This study shall be carried out with individuals who have an implanted visual prosthesis device. There are no new implantations or changes to the original implant or external wearables being studied or tested. Additionally, data from the study shall not be used alter standard of care or the user's treatment options.

NCT ID: NCT04311619 Suspended - Clinical trials for Major Depressive Disorder

Does rTMS Induce Synaptic Plasticity?

Start date: December 1, 2019
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to utilize the radioactive positron emission tomography (PET) tracer [11C]UCB-J to investigate the effect of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) on synaptic plasticity. UCB-J has been validated as a marker for synaptic density. We will use this tracer to examine if rTMS leads to changes in synaptic plasticity, specifically changes in synaptic density, in individuals receiving rTMS for MDD. If rTMS is proven effective for increasing synaptic plasticity, there is a significant potential of a new applicable treatment for a variety of diseases that affect brain physiology.

NCT ID: NCT04306939 Suspended - Clinical trials for Rheumatoid Arthritis

Genomic Resources for Enhancing Available Therapies (GREAT1.0) Study

GREAT1
Start date: November 1, 2014
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This is a prospective, descriptive, observational research study designed to observe and document the clinical practice by domain experts, and how the knowledge of new findings that are published in the medical literature affect clinical decision making. The study will evaluate risk factors and co-variants, including genetic variants that are associated with disease progression such as pain, inflammation, organ dysfunction, disability and quality of life.

NCT ID: NCT04306237 Suspended - Refractory Angina Clinical Trials

A Study to Evaluate the Safety, Tolerability, and Efficacy of IMB-1018972 in Patients With Refractory Angina

Start date: November 2023
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The objectives of the study are to assess the safety, tolerability, and potential efficacy of IMB-1018972 on patients with refractory angina. Study will assess functional capacity employing a modified Bruce Protocol treadmill ETT, patient reports of angina symptoms via an electronic diary, and activity using an accelerometer.

NCT ID: NCT04296110 Suspended - IBD Clinical Trials

Impact of a Biofeedback Intervention on Microbiome, Metabolome, and Clinical Outcomes in Pediatric IBD (Study 2)

Start date: March 12, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This prospective, randomized, longitudinal, controlled study will enroll pediatric CD patients with inflammatory, non-stricturing, and non-penetrating disease type with mild/quiescent disease based on Pediatric Crohn's Disease Activity Index (PCDAI). Participants will be randomized to receive HRV biofeedback intervention daily for 12 weeks or to music relaxation therapy.

NCT ID: NCT04292847 Suspended - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

LCCC1931:Post-treatment Intervention in Women With Breast Cancer (70y/o+)

Start date: March 12, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study recruits woman over the age of 70 who have completed primary treatment for early breast cancer in the last 2 months. A survey called the geriatric assessment will be used to identify symptoms and issues participants experience. This information will be given to the patient's medical oncology team, and used to make referrals to specialists. This study is designed to determine if these assessments and timely interventions can be completed during clinic visits, and determine if these participants comply with recommendations.

Circuitry Assessment and Reinforcement Training Effects on Recovery

CARTER
Start date: September 23, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study investigates if electroencephalography (EEG) neurofeedback training is more beneficial than sham feedback training for the improvement of communication, anxiety, and sleep quality in individuals with aphasia. Half of the participants will receive active EEG neurofeedback sessions first, followed by sham feedback sessions in a crossover design. The other half of participants will undergo sham feedback sessions first, followed by active neurofeedback.
