NCT ID: NCT06107816 Not yet recruiting - Diabetes Mellitus Clinical Trials

A Fruit and Vegetable Prescription Program

Start date: June 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Dietary intake of fruits and vegetables (F&V) is a cornerstone for the treatment of type 2 diabetes, however less than 16% of Hispanic adults consume the recommended number of servings each day. F&V prescription (F&V Rx) programs are embedded into clinical settings and provide patients with vouchers to purchase F&V at local retailers. The proposed study aims to test the effects of a F&V Rx on diabetes self-management education and support (DSME/S) uptake and retention, dietary intake of F&V and diet quality, glucose control (hemoglobin A1c), and program implementation outcomes.

NCT ID: NCT06107764 Not yet recruiting - Schizophrenia Clinical Trials

Cerebellar Modulation of Cognition in Psychosis

Start date: April 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this clinical trial is to learn about cognition in psychotic disorders (schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and schizoaffective disorder). The main question it aims to answer is: Can we use magnetic stimulation to change processing speed (how quickly people can solve challenging tasks). Participants will be asked to perform cognitive tasks (problem-solving) and undergo brain scans before and after transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). TMS is a way to non-invasively change brain activity. Forms of TMS are FDA-approved to treat depression and obsessive compulsive disorder. In this study, we will use a different form of TMS to temporarily change brain activity to observe how that changes speed in problem-solving.

NCT ID: NCT06107335 Not yet recruiting - Pre-Eclampsia Clinical Trials

Effect of Albumin Versus Routine Care on Hemodynamic Response and Stability in Patients With Preeclampsia Guided by a Non-invasive Hemodynamic Monitoring System During Cesarean Delivery With Spinal Anesthesia

Start date: July 1, 2024
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to compare the effect of albumin versus routine care on hemodynamic response and stability in pre-eclamptic patients during cesarean delivery. The hypothesis is that volume replacement with albumin guided by stroke volume variation (SVV) using a ClearSight-Acumen (CS-A) monitor, before cesarean delivery (CD), improves hemodynamic stability in preeclamptic patients with severe features compared to routine care, under neuraxial anesthesia.

NCT ID: NCT06106477 Not yet recruiting - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Impact of Intermittent Fasting on Biomarkers of Inflammation and Health-Related Quality of Life: A Feasibility Trial for Women With HR+/HER2- Early Breast Cancer

Start date: March 15, 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This single-arm study is designed to test the hypothesis that a six-month intermittent fasting (IF) intervention is feasible for patients to adhere to and improves health-related quality of life while subjects are on adjuvant endocrine therapy (AET).

NCT ID: NCT06106191 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Chronic Low-back Pain

Integrative Mindfulness-Based Predictive Approach for Chronic Low Back Pain Treatment

IMPACT
Start date: June 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study will identify unique signatures that people have which can cause pain by evaluating biological, psychological, and social markers using artificial intelligence. These markers can be used to accurately predict the response of diverse individuals with chronic low back pain (cLBP) to Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction. This will help enhance clinician decision-making and the targeted treatment of chronic pain. The overall objective is to use a unique machine learning (ML) approach to determine the biomarker signature of persons undergoing mindfulness based stress reduction (MBSR) treatment for their chronic low back pain (cLBP). This signature will facilitate clinical prediction and monitoring of patient response to MBSR treatment. The design of the study is a single-arm clinical trial of the evidence-based MBSR program for patients with cLBP.

NCT ID: NCT06105801 Not yet recruiting - Lung Cancer Clinical Trials

TBNA vs EBUS-TBNA Plus Transbronchial Mediastinal Cryobiopsy for Adequacy of Next Generation Sequencing

META-Gen
Start date: October 31, 2024
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This is a multi-center, clinical trial evaluating the effect of adding transbronchial mediastinal cryobiopsy to EBUSTBNA for its ability to improve the likelihood of obtaining tissue sufficient for molecular analysis. Patients in outpatient clinics or pre-operative holding areas planning to undergo a bronchoscopic biopsy of a suspected malignant lesion (peripheral or mediastinal) for initial diagnosis, staging, or acquisition of tissue for molecular analysis will be considered for enrollment and consented. Patients will only be enrolled if intraoperative ROSE of a mediastinal 8 lymph node or mass suggests malignancy. Patients will be randomized to continue with the operator's initial EBUS-TBNA needle or switch to a cryoprobe to perform a transbronchial mediastinal cryobiopsy.

NCT ID: NCT06105710 Not yet recruiting - Asthma Clinical Trials

Mechanistic Insights From Bronchoscopy Airway Samples

MIBAS
Start date: January 2024
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

The purpose of this study is to examine the mechanisms of asthma. The investigators are comparing the cells of individuals with and without asthma and looking at the roles various parts of the cell play in the production and secretion of mucus.

NCT ID: NCT06105684 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Metastatic Breast Cancer

Phase II Single Arm Trial of Low Dose Capecitabine in Patients With Advanced Breast Cancer

Start date: August 2024
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is a phase II study aiming at evaluating capecitabine prospectively at a dose of 1000 mg once daily in patients with advanced breast cancer who are ≥60 years of age, or frail at any age, with a greater risk of complications and poorer outcomes with other treatments.

NCT ID: NCT06105164 Not yet recruiting - Obesity Clinical Trials

Validation of a Novel Cerebellar-striatal Satiety Circuit in Humans

Start date: February 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study uses a noninvasive technique called transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) to study satiety in healthy individuals. TMS is a noninvasive way of stimulating the brain, using a magnetic field to change activity in the brain. The magnetic field is produced by a coil that is held next to the scalp. In this study, the investigators will be stimulating the brain to learn more about the role of the cerebellum in satiety.

NCT ID: NCT06104826 Not yet recruiting - Hemophilia A Clinical Trials

Health-Related Quality of Life Outcomes and Bleeding Rates Among Patients With Severe Hemophilia A on Emicizumab

ML43518
Start date: December 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The main purposes of this study are to determine if use of emicizumab prophylaxis treatment reduces number of bleeding episodes, if it improves quality of life of individuals and if improves arthropathy in persons with hemophilia A.
