This study will recruit persons with Inflammatory Bowel Disease. The investigators will contact people in an ongoing study (called IMAGINE) to recruit persons with high levels of stress, anxiety, or depression who are interested in a web-based program focused on skills in managing stress, anxiety and depression (a self-directed psychosocial intervention). The goal is to develop an internet-based psychosocial intervention to help persons with inflammatory bowel disease to cope with high levels of stress, anxiety or depression.
This pilot trial studies the side effects and how well CBM588 works in improving clinical outcomes in patients who have undergone donor hematopoietic stem cell transplant. Gut microbiota (formerly called gut flora) is the name given to the microbe (bacteria) population living in the intestine. Gut bacteria help the body to digest certain foods that the stomach and small intestine have not been able to digest. CBM588, may increase gut bacteria biodiversity, prevent recurrent symptoms of gastrointestinal toxicity (ranging from diarrhea to life-threatening inflammation of the colon).
This is a Phase 3, Multicenter, Double-Blind, Randomized, Placebo-controlled Study to Compare the Efficacy and Safety of Tislelizumab (BGB-A317) Combined With Gemcitabine Plus Cisplatin Versus Placebo Combined With Gemcitabine Plus Cisplatin as First Line Treatment for Recurrent or Metastatic Nasopharyngeal Cancer.
The overall purpose is to assess whether assisted infant toilet training during the first year of life can prevent functional gastrointestinal and urinary tract disorders up to 4 year of age. Healthy Swedish children will be randomized to start assisted infant toilet training at 0-2 months of age or at 10-11 months of age. The toilet training process will be described including mother-to-infant attachment and parental stress.
The aim of the study will be to analyze the microbiome in the blood and stomach in patients with intestinal metaplasia (IM) and / or gastric cancer (GC). As far as IM is concerned, it has been found that the incomplete type is related to GC mainly intestinal-type. Studies show differences in the microbiome in patients with IM and in patients with GC, but do not specify whether these differences are related to histological types. Our intention is to further analyze the microbiome based on histological types. Most studies on stomach cancer have focused on the microbiota of gastric microbiota. Recent data have shown that the microbiome of the small intestine, especially the mucosa, can play a key role in the condition of the gastrointestinal tract. Disturbance of the microbiome of the small intestine has been found in celiac disease, chronic liver disease, diabetes and irritable bowel syndrome. However, information on the role of the microbiome in IM remains limited.
The direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs) and particularly the FXa inhibitors are a concern in patients presenting with type A aortic dissection as this may contribute to severe bleeding complications. The antidote andexanet alfa (Ondexxya®) can interact with the heparin- anti-thrombin III (ATIII) complex which may neutralize the anticoagulant effect of heparin and the use of andexanet alfa before surgery necessitating heparin-anticoagulation has been reported to cause unresponsiveness to heparin. The investigators have preliminary in-vitro data demonstrating the ability to remove apixaban from reconstituted blod by hemadsorption and are now analyzing if aFXa inhibitor levels may be reduced by hemadsorption in the clinical setting analyzing this in patients using FXa inhibitors being operated acutely for type A aortic dissection.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics (PK), and preliminary efficacy of KIN-3248, an oral small molecule FGFR inhibitor, in adults with advanced tumors harboring FGFR2 and/or FGFR3 gene alterations.
This study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of depemokimab (GSK3511294) in participants with CRSwNP.
This two-phase pilot study will test the feasibility of a "combined chronotherapy" (CC) intervention consisting of morning bright light therapy (BLT) and evening blue light blocking (BLB), administered daily for 4 weeks in patients who experienced acute coronary syndrome (ACS). Phase A of the study will be a single-arm open-label study of the home-based CC intervention in 5 post-ACS patients. Phase B of the study will be a parallel-arm randomized clinical trial (RCT) in which 15 post-ACS patients will be randomized (using a 2:1 allocation) to active CC treatment or sleep hygiene education control group. In Phase A and Phase B, the primary aims are study feasibility, acceptability, appropriateness, and usability. In Phase B, the investigator will additionally assess whether the intervention engages its proposed proximal target mechanism - sleep.
Pre-Active PD is a randomized controlled feasibility study to evaluate the implementation of a telehealth-delivered physical activity behavior change intervention for people with early-mid stage Parkinson's disease. The program utilizes occupational therapists to provide one-to-one individualized support to facilitate and optimize exercise uptake as part of their disease self-management. The structure of the intervention is based on previous research in neurodegenerative disease including Parkinson's disease and Huntington's disease.
