Filter by:The gut microbiota (GM) can influence as effectiveness of immunotherapy as prognosis factor in cancer patients. The goal of the study to identify GM pattern is associated with poor and favourable treatment outcomes in breast cancer and pancreatic cancer patients for further treatment strategy proper planning.
A multicenter trial to investigate TBio-4101, an autologous, neoantigen-selected, tumor-reactive TIL product, in patients with advanced solid malignancies.
The goal of this clinical trial-prospective study will provide important information on equitable implementation strategies to improve hypertension management in women with breast cancer by evaluating the feasibility and safety of remote hypertension management using home blood pressure telemonitoring that will provide individualized hypertension management, health and wellness education for hypertension prevention of women with breast cancer stages I-IV. Also this study may provide evidence to inform a potential paradigm shift in joint social and clinical management of hypertension that future studies may use to address complex social and clinical comorbidities that affect women with hypertension in Mississippi. The main questions this study aims to answer are: 1. To examine the feasibility of using home BP telemonitoring to provide individualized hypertension management in a population of women with breast cancer and food insecurity. 2. To examine the effectiveness of telemonitoring in achieving 2017 ACC/AHA guidelines for hypertension control in women with breast cancer and food insecurity using the RE-AIM framework. 3. To pilot the integration of a community service partnership to decrease food insecurity in the 40 women who participate in the home BP telemonitoring program. Using the mailed telemonitoring kit (iPad tablet and Blood Pressure Cuff) the participants of this study will be asked to access a daily health session using iPad and obtain a blood pressure measurement using blood pressure cuff that transmits readings wirelessly via Bluetooth to the tablet which is uploaded directly to the participants UMMC electronic health records. Participants are asked to obtain two consecutive blood pressure measurements during each session and register at least 6 sessions per week. The study duration will be 6 months. Every 2 weeks blood pressure measurements will be assessed. If less than 75% of measurements are at goal systolic blood pressure 75% of measurements are at goal systolic blood pressure<130mmHg and diastolic blood pressure <80mmHg, the patients nurse coordinator will contact them via telephone and assess for medication adherence and report to the patient's primary care provider and oncologist.
This is a prospective non-interventional, multicenter study observing patient reported outcomes as well as real-world efficacy and safety of trastuzumab deruxtecan (T-DXd) in patients with documented Human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-positive unresectable or metastatic breast cancer (BC) and in patients with documented HER2-low unresectable or metastatic BC receiving T-DXd in line with the applicable summary of product characteristics (SmPC) within routine clinical practice in Germany. In addition, patients will be informed about use of digital healthcare application (DiGA).
The purpose of this clinical trial is to learn about the safety and effects of the study medicine (called ARV-471) when given together with other medicines for the potential treatment of advanced or metastatic breast cancer. This study is seeking participants who have breast cancer that: - is advanced, may have spread to other organs (metastatic) and cannot be fully treated by surgery or radiation therapy - is sensitive to hormonal therapy (it is called estrogen receptor positive); and - is no longer responding to previous treatments This study is divided into separate sub-studies. For Sub-Study B: All participants will receive ARV-471 and a medicine called ribociclib. ARV-471 and ribociclib will be given at the same time by mouth, at home, 1 time a day. The experiences of people receiving the study medicine will be examined. This will help determine if the study medicine is safe and effective. Participants will continue to take ARV-471 and ribociclib until their cancer is no longer responding, or side effects become too severe. They will have visits at the study clinic about every 4 weeks.
The researchers are doing this study to find out whether the study drug, SDX-7320, when combined with the standard chemotherapy eribulin, is an effective treatment for people with TNBC and metabolic dysfunction. The researchers will also look at whether the study treatment (SDX-7320 combined with eribulin) is safe and causes few or mild side effects in participants. The researchers will compare this treatment approach to eribulin alone.
The current treatments for albumin-bound paclitaxel (nab-PTX) -related peripheral neurotoxicity (PN) mainly included cryotherapy and compression therapy , oral B group vitamin , and duloxetine. However, treatment effectiveness of these three methods is limited. Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu decoction (HGWD) is an herbal formula recorded in "Synopsis of the Golden Chamber" for improving limb pain, tingling, and numbness, which is composed of five crude drugs (Astragali Radix, Cinnamomi Ramulus, Paeoniae Radix Alba, Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens, and Jujubae Fructus)(9). Recently, HGWD has been shown to be effective in the treatment of oxaliplatin- and diabetic-related PNs . But there are no prospective studies to explore the efficacy of HGWD in the treatment of nab-PTX-induced PN in patients with BC. Therefore, we conducted this prospective randomized controlled study to investigate the efficacy and safety of HGWD to prevent nab-PTX-induced PN in patients with BC. The primary aim of this study was to assess the prevention of nab-PTX-induced PN by soaking hands and/or feet with HGWD when compared to placebo.
The goal of this study is to find a new way to make diabetes care better for patients with breast cancer and diabetes who are currently receiving cancer treatment. We will have two groups, the researchers will decide who is in which group. One group will be working with a nurse who is trained in diabetes care while the other does not. This will allow the investigators to see if having a trained nurse as part of the care team can help improve the care the patients receive.
This is a multicenter, Phase 1b/2 trial. The phase 1b part of the trial aims to determine the RP2D of elacestrant when administered in combination with alpelisib, everolimus, palbociclib, abemaciclib, and ribociclib. The Phase 2 part of the trial will evaluate the efficacy and safety of the various combinations in patients with ER+/HER2- advanced/metastatic breast cancer.
In this prospective active-controlled randomized trial the investigators will assess for the first time ever the different local treatments of vulvovaginal atrophy in breast cancer patients on endocrine therapy. These patients are currently inadequately treated based on ignorance of possible treatment modalities and stigmatization of vulvovaginal atrophy.
