Filter by:Earthquake is a disaster that causes physical, psychological, social, economic and cultural losses for individuals and affects/interrupts all age groups and normal life. Children are a group that is more affected by the earthquake than other members of the society and are exposed to its long-term effects. Children who have experienced earthquakes and continue to stay in the earthquake zone experience physical, economic, and social problems. In addition, the emotional and psychological development of these children is negatively affected. Due to the earthquake that occurred on 6 February 2023 affecting 11 provinces in our country, the needs in the field vary. After the acute period (first 1 month), children need psychological support. Problems that cannot be solved in the early period may cause health and behavioural problems in children in later ages and adulthood. In this context, approaching children with appropriate therapeutic communication methods positively affects their psychological well-being and directly affected physical resilience by enabling them to express their emotions. The aim of the study was to evaluate the effect of therapeutic communication programme on state and trait anxiety levels, psychological resilience, mental health and well-being of children aged 8-12 years affected by the earthquake. Hypotheses H1. After the therapeutic communication programme, children's State Anxiety Scale scores decrease. H2. After the therapeutic communication programme, children's Continuance Anxiety Scale scores decrease. H3. After the therapeutic communication programme, children's Me and My Emotions Scale scores decrease. H4. After the therapeutic communication programme, children's scores on the Child and Adolescent Psychological Resilience Scale increase.

The goal of this randomized controlled trial is to determine the effect of an intervention program with physical activity for 12 weeks on depression, social and emotional well-being and quality of life and health in adults with mild and moderate depression. The main questions it aims to answer are: 1. - To determine the association of physical activity levels, sedentary behavior, sleep patterns, physical condition, diet, and general health status with mental and social well-being, and quality of life in a large sample of adult patients diagnosed with mild or moderate depression. 2. - To examine the predictive capacity of physical activity, sedentary behaviors, and physical condition on mild and moderate depressive disorder. 3. - To study the effect of a period without an intervention program with physical activity (8 weeks without exercise intervention) on the variables studied. 4. - To examine the role of the endocannabinoid system on depression as well as its behavior after an intervention program of physical activity. Participants will be involved in a physical activity intervention program for 12 weeks. Researchers will compare intervention group and control group to see if an intervention program with physical activity for 12 weeks improve depression, social and emotional well-being and quality of life and health in adults with mild and moderate depression.
The aim of the thesis is to determine the effect of laughter yoga on psychological well-being in women diagnosed with Gynecological Cancer.The population of the study consists of the patients registered in the oncology service of Tepecik Training and Research Hospital in Izmir. The study was carried out with 70 patients, 35 of which were interventions and 35 controls, who were treated in the oncology service of Izmir Tepecik Training and Research Hospital.
When the literature is examined, there are studies examining the relationship between low back pain and anxiety depression, quality of life and LDH in patients with lumbar disc herniation. There are many studies on the clinical use of manual therapy methods in LDH. Most of these studies examine the effect of manual therapy on pain and functional level. However, there are hardly any studies examining the effect of manual therapy on quality of life and psychological factors in LDH patients. The aim of our study is to examine the effect of mobilization, which is a manual therapy application, on psychological factors (kinesiophobia, pain catastrophic thought, anxiety and depression) and quality of life in LDH patients.

Objective: This research was planned to evaluate the effectiveness of the online psychoeducation program including sexual health education in physically disabled adolescents. Materials and Methods: In this study, a randomized experimental design with pretest-posttest, follow-up measurement, intervention and control groups was used to evaluate the effectiveness of the sexual health online psychoeducation program in adolescents with physical disabilities. The universe of the study consists of adolescent members aged 12-15 in the Turkish Spinal Cord Paralysis Association.(N :600). Nearly 90 people with physical disabilities and their families, who were included in the inclusion criteria of the study, were reached through the institution. 62 people were included in the study as a result of the foresights made due to the intensity of their online classes due to the Covid- 19 pandemic, and their inability to volunteer for the subject of the research (they are ashamed and do not want to discuss it as a topic to be discussed). . Participants were divided into 31 participants as intervention group and 31 participants as control group by randomization method. The intervention group was divided into 3 groups of 10 and a six-week psychoeducation program lasting 60 minutes once a week was applied. At the end of the training, the intervention and control groups were given a post-test and a follow-up test at the end of the 3rd month.
The overall objective of the research project is to characterize the consequences of digital food stimuli exposure on eating behavior. Specifically, we aim to study cephalic phase physiology, food choice and quantity, as well as post-ingestive sensations in response to viewing sensory-specific food pictures. Furthermore, we want to examine whether these outcomes depend on sweet taste liking, as determined by FGF21 concentrations in the blood and the phenotypical Sweet Taste Liker Test. Section 2.1 lists the primary hypotheses.
Burnout appears to be highly prevalent among oncology nurses, which was a problem not only for the nurses themselves but for the patients for whom they provide care. How to mitigate and prevent burnout and improve nursing performance outcomes is an urgent problem for nursing manager. In a sample of 99 oncology nurses, immunological characteristics were compared to burnout scores. In a randomized trial, 90 oncology nurses suffering burnout were randomized to receive psychological capital intervention or routine psychological care. Participants were assessed before and after treatment using measures of burnout, psychological capital and immunological characteristics.
