Filter by:Strategies to improve uptake of cardiovascular disease preventive therapies among people living with HIV (PLHIV) are urgently needed. This study tests an innovative prevention nurse intervention to extend the HIV/AIDS treatment cascade for the treatment of hypertension and hyperlipidemia among PLHIV on suppressive antiretroviral therapy. This intervention may be scalable as an extension of ongoing HIV/AIDS treatment cascade initiatives in HIV specialty clinics nationwide.
To document effects of consuming Golden Black Seed (brand: New Chapter Inc.) on metabolic health and wellness in human subjects. Golden Black Seed contains extracts from the turmeric root (Curcuma longa) and black cumin seeds (Nigella sativa). Both botanicals have been used traditionally in Asian cooking, and also in herbal medicine for reducing inflammation.
To evaluate the safety and efficacy of CJ-30061 compared with amlodipine/valsartan combination therapy and valsartan/atorvastatin combination therapy in hypertensive patients with hyperlipidemia
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the Pharmacokinetic Interaction Between AD-2071 and AD-2072 in healthy male volunteers.
Red yeast rice is a source of active compounds in reducing LDL levels with practically no side effects. Molval Fort is a natural product available in the Lebanese market with a combination of red yeast rice extracts, EPA/DHA and coenzyme Q10. The investigators are conducting this study to explore the effect of red yest rice extracts based product on LDL and its side effects in a sample of primary care Lebanese patients.
Clinicians slated for virtual visit rollout will be randomized (stratified by department) to either receive immediate virtual visit on-boarding (intervention arm) or delayed (3-months later) virtual visit on-boarding (control arm). The investigators plan to enroll no more than 200 clinicians. Any clinician in a department selected by the Brigham Health Virtual Care team for access to virtual visits is eligible, unless s/he saw less than 20 patients monthly over the last 6 months. The Brigham Health Virtual Care team will onboard all clinicians and provide virtual visit support as per their usual protocol. The primary study endpoint is third-available appointment, a well-adopted measure of access. Other secondary endpoints revolve around continuity, efficiency, utilization, safety, cost, and patient experience.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the Pharmacokinetic Interaction Between AD-2011 and AD-2012 in healthy male volunteers.
This study aims to investigate the change in systemic exposure of simvastatin post LSG.
A Randomized, Double-blind, Multi-center Phase III Clinical Trial to Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of Telmisartan/Amlodipine and Rosuvastatin Co-administration in Hypertensive Patients with Hyperlipidemia
A prospective, open-label, pilot study with 24 cardiovascular high risk patients (N=24) having insufficient Low density lipoprotein cholesterin (LDL-C) reduction despite standard of care lipid-modifying therapies (LMTs), to evaluate the effects of potent lipid-therapy intensification via the recently approved monoclonal, human anti-PCSK9 antibody Alirocumab on endothelial function, inflammation, lipoprotein particle subfractions, carotid arteries and post-prandial lipemia in clinical routine at the Medical University of Graz.
