There are about 8563 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Sweden. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This project uses participatory design combined with qualitative and quantitative methods to develop, explore and evaluate the usefulness of a digital information tool to prepare and support patients before, during and after RT as treatment for breast cancer.
Evaluation of the safety and efficacy of a percutaneous plug-based large-bore vascular closure device for femoral artery closure in an unselected consecutive patient cohort undergoing transcatheter aortic valve implantation in a single-center prospective study.
Randomized open label clinical trial carried out at study centers in Sweden, including Karolinska University Hospital, S:t Göran Hospital, Danderyd Hospital and Västmanlands Hospital. Patients with COVID-19 who are hospitalized with oxygen therapy are eligible for inclusion. Subjects are randomized to 14 days of inhalation with ciclesonide 360 µg twice daily or to standard of care. Primary outcome is duration of received supplemental oxygen therapy. Key secondary outcome is a composite outcome of death and received invasive mechanical ventilation within 30 days.
Parkinson's disease (PD) is a neurological condition, which affects the brain. PD gets worse over time, but how quickly it progresses varies a lot from person to person. Some symptoms of PD are tremors, stiffness, and slowness of movement. The purpose of this study is to continue testing whether ABBV-951 is safe, effective, and tolerable in participants with Parkinson's disease after completion of the parent study M15-741. ABBV-951 is an investigational (unapproved) drug containing levodopa phosphate/carbidopa phosphate (LDP/CDP) given as infusion under the skin for the treatment of Parkinson's Disease. Participants who have successfully completed M15-741 study will immediately enter this study's treatment period to continue receiving ABBV-951. Adult participants with advanced PD will be enrolled. Approximately 130 adult participants will be enrolled in the study at approximately 65 sites worldwide. Participants will receive continuous subcutaneous infusion (CSCI) of ABBV-951 for 24 hours daily during the Primary Treatment Period and during the optional Extended Treatment Period. There may be higher treatment burden for participants in this trial compared to their standard of care. Participants will attend regular clinic visits and have remote assessments completed via phone calls during the course of the study. The effect of the treatment will be checked by medical assessments, blood tests, checking for side effects, and completing questionnaires.
The purpose of this study is to investigate how RA affect the brain structures in RA-patients and if anti-inflammatory treatment that target TNF-α or JAK OR physical training of hands has positive impact on neuropsychiatric symptoms and morphological changes in the brain caused by the disease. The goal of this research project is to improve the knowledge of morphological changes in brain developed in connection to RA and to identify clinical and serological markers to predict development of those changes and finally, to investigate if anti-rheumatic interventions counteract destructive processes in the central nervous system (CNS) and improve the patient's health with respect to functionality, pain experience and psychological well-being.
This is a phase I study of 177Lu-DOTA-TATE in combination with the PARP-inhibitor olaparib for treatment of patients with somatostatin receptor positive tumours detected by 68Ga-DOTA-TATE/TOC PET. The combination of a PARP inhibitor that will specifically target the repair mechanism, with ionising radiation causing SSB's might overcome the repair dependent survival of the tumour cells, making them more sensitive to β-emission and increase the probability of tumour cell death.
A phase 3 double blind, placebo controlled study evaluating the efficacy and safety of AL001 in participants at risk for or with frontotemporal dementia due to heterozygous mutations in the progranulin gene.
C3731003 is a pivotal Phase 3 study to evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of a single IV infusion of PF-07055480 / giroctocogene fitelparvovec (Recombinant AAV2/6 Human Factor VIII Gene Therapy) in adult male participants with moderately severe or severe hemophilia A (FVIII:C≤1%) for the study duration of 5 years. The study will enroll eligible participants who have been followed on routine prophylaxis with FVIII products in the Lead-In study C0371004.
The project aims to clarify how immunity to SARS-CoV2 develops in humans and to investigate the possibility of finding patients with a particularly effective, neutralizing antibody response for future treatment. The project also aims to detail the virus's damage mechanisms in tissue.
The purpose of this study is to investigate if a brief online-delivered cognitive-behavioral intervention can reduce the degree of dysfunctional worry related to the Covid-19 pandemic, compared to a wait-list control condition.
