There are about 8563 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Sweden. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The purpose of the CROP study is to investigate the potential to cultivate psychological resources and resilience in childhood cancer patients and their family members using a mobile phone-based intervention. The feasibility study aims to evaluate the implementation and participant experience of the digital intervention and register psychological outcome measures preliminary evidence for its acceptability, feasibility, and potential beneficial effects.
This is a cross-sectional observational study with the aim to assess longterm outcomes in a large cohort of individuals with anorectal malformations. Patients managed for anorectal malformations at Karolinska University Hospital, Stockholm, Sweden, Stockholm 1994-2017 will be reviewed and they will be invited to respond to validated questionnaires evaluating bowel function (>4 years of age), urinary tract function (>4 years of age), sexual function (>18 years of age) and quality of life (>8 years of age). Data will be analyzed with descriptive and comparative statistics.
Heart failure (HF) is the endstage of all heart disease, characterized by inability of either the left or right heart or both to maintain sufficient output of blood for the demands of the body at normal filling pressures. Patients with HF are often admitted to hospital with decompensation and treated with diuretics. Residual congestion at discharge is associated with increased risk of early rehospitalization and adverse outcomes. However, determination of residual decompensation is complicated and a large number of patients admitted with decompensated heart failure are likely discharged before optimal decongestion has been achieved. Lung ultrasound (LUS) is a promising method to determine residual decompensation with the evaluation of B-lines. In this study our primary aim is to evaluate if LUS together with echocardiographic evaluation of filling pressure according to the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) algorithm performs better than clinical assessment to determine fluid status and risk of early rehospitalization in patients hospitalized for AHF.
In this multicenter study, the investigators want to find out if an addition of an diagnostic assessment and possibility of treatment with guided self-help CBT can increase the treatment effects of PCBH on patient functioning and symptoms, compared to standard PCBH which uses contextual assessment and brief interventions. In addition to this, the study will investigate the overall effect of PCBH on both patient and organisation level outcomes.
The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the efficacy of 9-valent extraintestinal pathogenic Escherichia coli vaccine (ExPEC9V) compared to placebo in the prevention of the first invasive extraintestinal pathogenic Escherichia coli disease (IED) event caused by ExPEC9V O-serotypes.
TENDER is a multicenter, single-device, retrospective and prospective, observational study to assess safety and efficacy of the Tendyne Mitral Valve System in a real-world population.
This study aims to generate data that conveys participant's experiences such as their satisfaction with treatment delivered by the redesigned CoolSculpting® Elite system for non-invasive fat reduction in the midsection area (abdomen and flanks) in addition to optional body areas of upper arms, inner thighs, outer thighs and/or submental area. By doing this, the study will provide insights for doctors to better inform participants about the expected outcomes when one or more body areas are considered for treatment.
This study will investigate a compound of probiotics and prebiotics in females and males with overweight with the aim to evaluate the effect on weight and metabolic markers. The design is a three month randomized doubled-blinded, three-armed placebo-controlled trial of probiotics for weight loss. Normal dose (2 capsules á 0.4g per day) doubled dose (4 capsules á 0.4g per day), or placebo. A second, non-blinded, phase with only the compound of probiotics and prebiotics, with tripple dose (6 capsuled á 0.4g per day), will be performed for individuals who had the compound in the first phase.
Brief summary: This single-arm, pilot clinical investigation aims to evaluate Mindful SensoriMotor Therapy (MSMT) enhanced with brain modulation as a treatment of pain due to sensorimotor impairment, such as Phantom Limb Pain (PLP). MSMT consists of consciously retraining the motor and sensory networks used by the missing limb via myoelectric pattern recognition and haptic feedback. In this trial, we further enhance the effect of MSMT by brain modulation, transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS).
To investigate the safety and tolerance of a single infusion of ProTrans® in subjects with "severe" respiratory complications associated with pneumonia caused by COVID-19, Influenza A, Metapneumovirus or RSV infection.
