There are about 5161 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Norway. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The study aims to examine how noradrenaline in combination with venous return influences the energy transmission from heart to central circulation and arteries - also called arterio-ventricular coupling.
Purpose: to develop an international validated patient-reported outcome measure for COVID-19 patients according to international guidelines. In this phase III of the project, the preliminary questionnaire of 80 items will be tested. It has been developed based on literature review and interviews with health care professionals and patients (phase I-II). In Phase III A patients will fill in the questionnaire followed by interviews on relevance, importance and wording of the questionnaire In Phase III B patients will fill in the questionnaire and an debriefing questionnaire. We will do explorative psychometric analyses.
This is open-label, multicenter, international study, assessing the efficacy and safety of Trastuzumab deruxtecan (T-DXd) in participants with or without brain metastasis (BMs), with previously-treated advanced/metastatic HER2-positive breast cancer whose disease has progressed on prior anti-HER2-based regimens and who received no more than 2 lines/regimens of therapy in the metastatic setting (excluding tucatinib).
Frail older persons with cognitive impairment are at special risk of experiencing delirium during acute hospitalisation. The purpose of this study was to investigate whether a dementia-friendly hospital program contributes to improved detection and management of patients with cognitive impairment and delirium.
The primary aim of this study is to examine the efficacy of a self-guided Internet-delivered intervention for coping with ADHD. The secondary aim is to investigate the effects of individual adaptation of the intervention on adherence, satisfaction and clinical outcomes.
The overall purpose of the proposed research is to increase patients' and general practitioners' (GPs') awareness of alcohol as a relevant factor for a wide variety of health problems in general practice, and enable earlier help and treatment. To achieve this, the investigators aim to test the feasibility of a pragmatic strategy for identification of alcohol-related health problems, and the feasibility of a web-based intervention between consultations, as a supplement to usual care in general practice.
Multiple myeloma (MM) is a rare cancer caused by abnormal survival of plasma cells (blood cells). Most trial participants with MM relapse (cancer has come back) or become non- responsive to treatment and remission gets shorter after each line of treatment. This is a study to assess t(11;14) and BCL2 expression in adult participants with newly diagnosed and relapsed/refractory (R/R) MM. Approximately 500 adult participants with newly confirmed or relapsed/refractory (R/R) multiple myeloma (MM) will be enrolled in around 15-20 countries. Participants will receive standard of care while participating in this study. No drug will be administered as a part of this study. Participants will attend regular visits during the course of the study at a hospital or clinic and will be asked to provide bone marrow and blood samples.
Nausea and vomiting in pregnancy (NVP) is affecting up to 70% of pregnant women. Studies have also shown that NVP may have a profound impact on pregnant women's wellbeing and that even mild NVP symptoms have been shown to significantly reduce pregnant women's quality of life. However, NVP symptoms often occur during the first period of pregnancy where antenatal care not yet have been established. The objective of this project is to evaluate whether the "MinSafeStart" mobile application (app) can empower pregnant women to better self-manage NVP and hence improve their quality of life.
"Stop sexual harassment" is a school based intervention tailored to reduce sexual- and gendered harassment among pupils in secondary school. The first aim of this study is to test to what extent "Stop sexual harassment" reduces sexual harassment and harassment based on sexual orientation and gender expression (gendered harassment) among 8th to 10th grade pupils in secondary school. The second aim of the study is to test to what extent the intervention increases teachers' responses to sexual- and gendered harassment among pupils. The intervention consists of eight lessons which address the prevention of sexual- and gendered harassment. METHOD: A minimum 32 schools with at least 3840 pupils will participate in a cluster randomized controlled trial. Participating schools will be randomly assigned to intervention schools and control schools. At the intervention schools, teachers will be introduced to "Stop sexual harassment" through a digital course which will provide them with a manual containing eight lessons to be held for the pupils. At the control schools there will not be any intervention. The effects of the intervention on pupils will be determined by assessing their experiences with sexual and gendered harassment, and internalized and externalized problems prior to the intervention (T1), shortly after the intervention (T2) and six moths after the intervention (T3). The effects of the intervention on teachers will be determined by assessing the teachers' experiences of responding to sexual and gendered harassment among pupils. HYPOTHESIS: It is expected that the intervention "Stop sexual harassment" will lead to reduced sexual and gendered harassment perpetration and victimization, and less internalized and externalized problems among the pupils in secondary school, and that teachers will more frequently take action when sexual- and gendered harassment is encountered among the pupils.
Missed appointments to outpatient substance use treatment are common and costly and can have a negative effect on the health of patients. In this quasi-experimental study, the investigators used an on-off design to examine whether a reminder "plus" intervention (telephone call from therapist before first appointment) would increase attendance and improve cancellation and rebooking practices. Secondary outcomes included satisfaction with treatment and intention to complete the treatment program.
