NCT ID: NCT04573088 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Colorectal Neoplasms

Acceptance-based Intervention at Colorectal Cancer Patients

ABICOL
Start date: June 22, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Taking into account the unavoidable effect of a major oncologic surgery commonly required for colorectal cancer patients and the recognized psychological and functional sequelae of the surgical treatment on their status, we will evaluate the influence of a psychological intervention, known as acceptance-based intervention, offered to those patients at the preoperative setting. Reduction of anxiety and assessmemt of indices of post-intervention psychological and functional recovery will be the primary goals of the study.

NCT ID: NCT04543591 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Thrombotic Microangiopathy

Ravulizumab in Thrombotic Microangiopathy After Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant

Start date: December 10, 2020
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This study will evaluate the efficacy, safety, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics of ravulizumab in adult and adolescent participants with hematopoietic stem cell transplant-associated thrombotic microangiopathy (HSCT-TMA). In Stage 1, an open-label, single-arm period, the dosing regimen will be confirmed. In Stage 2, participants will be randomized to receive either blinded ravulizumab plus best supportive care or matching placebo plus best supportive care. The treatment period is 26 weeks (open-label for Stage 1, and randomized, double-blind, and placebo-controlled for Stage 2) followed by a 26-week follow-up period.

NCT ID: NCT04535050 Recruiting - Hypertension Clinical Trials

DENEX Renal Denervation in Patients With Hypertension on no Antihypertensive Medications

Start date: October 20, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The objective of this study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of renal denervation using DENEX System in patients with hypertension without antihypertensive medication, compared with the sham group.

NCT ID: NCT04529122 Recruiting - Solid Tumours Clinical Trials

A Worldwide Cancer Registry Enrolling Participants Profiled With a Next-Generation Sequencing Test

Start date: August 27, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

WAYFIND-R is a registry that aims to capture high-quality real-world data linking next-generation sequencing, treatments and outcomes from cancer patients diagnosed with a solid tumour. The WAYFIND-R has three main overarching objectives: 1. To provide a platform to support the design and conduct of clinical and epidemiological research; 2. To develop an evidence-generation platform to better understand health outcomes and cancer care processes; and 3. To characterize the treatments and clinical course of solid tumor cancers in patients who have undergone NGS testing.

NCT ID: NCT04528082 Recruiting - Behçet Disease Clinical Trials

Apremilast Pediatric Study in Children With Active Oral Ulcers Associated With Behçet's Disease

BEAN
Start date: September 9, 2021
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this study is to estimate the efficacy of apremilast compared to placebo in the treatment of oral ulcers in pediatric participants from 2 to < 18 years of age with oral ulcers associated with Behçet's disease (BD) through week 12.

NCT ID: NCT04520126 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Coronary Artery Disease

Effect of Olivomed (Olive Extract) on Endothelial, Cardiac and Vascular Function

Start date: December 1, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Olive extracts are considered to have antioxidant properties. The investigators will study the effect of olive extracts containing hydroxytyrosol (HT)-olivomed and combination of Oleuropein (OL), Hydroxytyrosol (HT), Oleocanthal (OC) - olivomedSmart on endothelial, cardiac and vascular function in patients with coronary artery disease .

NCT ID: NCT04517955 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement

TAVI in Intermediate Risk Septuagenarians With Risk Factors Not Captured by the Traditional Surgical Risk Scores

Start date: July 1, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

Single arm, observational trial of Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) with the Medtronic Evolut R and Evolut Pro The primary objective of this trial is to evaluate device success of TAVI with the Evolut R and Evolut Pro systems in septuagenarians with risk factors for adverse surgical outcomes not captured by the traditional risk scores and therefore of intermediate surgical risk.

NCT ID: NCT04514588 Recruiting - Caffeine Clinical Trials

Associations Between Genetic Markers of Caffeine Metabolism, Appetite Hormones and Body Weight

Start date: June 30, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The effect of caffeine on appetite and body weight is controversial. Mostly epidemiological studies exist that show either a negative effect (reduction of appetite and body weight) or no effect. In this trial we are going to study the results of the consumption of 5mgr/kgr body weight of caffeine on appetite, food consumption and hormones ghrelin, asprosin, leptin and pancreatic polypeptide in relation to gene polymorphisms that affect caffeine metabolism and body weight. Seventy subjects will participate in a cross sectional study consisting of two trials (with or without the consumption of caffeine) in order to study the aforementioned parameters. Differences of total calories consumption between fast metabolizers of caffeine and the rest of the participants is the primary outcome.
