There are about 10004 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Brazil. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Adolescents with cerebral palsy (CP) have limitations to perform daily routine activities. The use of educational strategies associated to an approach based on motor learning principles was found to be effective in promoting motor outcomes in individuals with CP. The aim of the present study is to investigate the effectiveness of an intensive, goal-directed training associated with education for parents and adolescents in promoting the daily functioning of adolescents with CP. A randomized clinical trial, with 20 adolescents with CP, aged between 12 and 17 years and 11 months, and their respective caregivers. Adolescents will be randomly allocated into one of two groups: (a) intensive training of functional goals with adolescents or (b) intensive functional goal training with adolescents, including parenting and adolescent education strategies.
This trial evaluated the influence of polishing on enamel color change after in-office bleaching treatment. It also evaluated the influence of polishing on tooth morphology and sensitivity.
This is a single-center retrospective cohort study on cancer patients who underwent emergency ostomy. Our objective was to compare the incidence of surgical complications as well as the length of hospital stay among three different techniques for ostomy confection (laparotomy, the conventional local approach, described as trephination, and laparoscopy).
The primary objective of this study is to describe the safety and tolerability of rocatinlimab in adolescents with moderate-to-severe AD.
The aim of this first time in human proof of concept (FTiH-PoC) study is to evaluate safety and reactogenicity, to demonstrate efficacy and to explore immunogenicity of GlaxoSmithKline's (GSK) Neisseria gonorrhoeae generalized modules for membrane antigens (GMMA) (NgG) investigational vaccine compared to placebo (saline).
This study is intended to confirm the efficacy, safety, pharmacokinetic (PK) profile, and the durability of hepatitis B virus surface antigen (HBsAg) suppression observed with bepirovirsen for 24 weeks (with loading doses) as compared to the placebo arm. This study will have 4 stages: a) Double-blind treatment (bepirovirsen or placebo) for 24 weeks. b) Nucleos(t)ide analogue (NA) treatment for 24 weeks. c) NA cessation stage OR Continue NA for 24 weeks. d) Durability of response and follow up for further 24 weeks for participants who stopped NA treatment at Week 48. The arms will be stratified based on HBsAg level (HBsAg greater than or equal to [≥] 100 international unit per milliliter [IU/mL] to less than or equal [≤]1000 IU/mL or greater than [>] 1000 IU/mL to ≤3000 IU/mL) at screening. The total duration of the study, including screening (up to 60 days), the double-blind treatment stage (24 weeks), the On NA only stage (24 weeks), and the NA cessation and durability stages (48 weeks) is up to approximately 104 weeks at maximum for each participant.

This protocol proposes to investigate genetic factors that may be involved in the pathogenesis of adverse events of interest with selected covid-19 vaccines: vaccine-induced immune thrombotic thrombocytopenia, and neurological adverse events, such as Guillain-Barré syndrome, acute disseminated encephalomyelitis and transverse myelitis, with the intention of identifying useful biomarkers in identifying people at higher risk, thus reducing the occurrence of these serious adverse events (SAE).
The purpose of the study is to evaluate whether bemnifosbuvir (BEM) is effective and safe in adults with COVID-19 who do not need to be in the hospital but who are at high risk for progression to severe disease. Eligible subjects will be randomly assigned (by chance) to receive BEM or matching placebo orally for 5 days. Co-administration of locally available standard of care (SOC) is allowed. The total duration of the study is 60 days.
This is a Phase III, randomized, open-label, 3-arm, multicenter, international study assessing the efficacy and safety of Dato-DXd with or without durvalumab compared with ICT in participants with stage I to III TNBC with residual invasive disease in the breast and/or axillary lymph nodes at surgical resection following neoadjuvant systemic therapy.
