There are about 10004 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Brazil. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This is a randomized, prospective, double-blind, controlled clinical trial designed to evaluate 3 distinct clinical approaches used during endodontic therapy: Group 1- Root canal treatment in single visit (RCT-SV); Group 2- Root canal treatment in two visits with intracanal dressing (RCT-TVWD); Group 3- Root canal treatment in two visits without intracanal dressing (RCT-TVWOD). A total of 210 adult patients ages 18 to 60 years, with at least one tooth diagnosed with asymptomatic apical periodontitis and periradicular lesion will be randomized and will undergo one of the types of clinical approaches during endodontic therapy. Patients' postoperative pain levels will also be recorded in periods of 24, 48, 72 hours and 7 days. Subsequently, clinical findings and long-term follow-up evaluations, with periradicular repair will be performed by periapical radiograph and computed tomography (cone-beam) at 6th, 12th and 24th months.
Red Blood Cell - IMProving trAnsfusions for Chronically Transfused recipients (RBC-IMPACT) is an observational cohort study to assess donor, component, and recipient factors that contribute to RBC efficacy in chronically and episodically transfused patients. The objective of the study is to determine how specific genetic and non-genetic factors in donors and recipients may impact RBC survival after transfusion - in short, what factors on both the donor and recipient side may improve the efficacy of the transfusion.
The purpose of this study is to compare the efficacy and safety of pirtobruitinib (LOXO-305) to ibrutinib in participants with CLL/SLL. Participants may or may not have already had treatment for their cancer. Participation could last up to six years.
The effect of CPAP on weight and fluid homeostasis will be assessed. Obstructive sleep apnea treatment-naive subjects will randomized to CPAP and control groups. Weight change, and changes in overnight urinary volume, intra and extracelullar volume, plasmatic B-type natriuretic peptide (BNP) and antidiuretic hormone (ADH) and urinary osmolality will be compared between groups.
This study is being done to find out if tucatinib with other cancer drugs works better than standard of care to treat participants with HER2 positive colorectal cancer. This study will also test what side effects happen when participants take this combination of drugs. A side effect is anything a drug does to the body besides treating your disease. Participants in this study have colorectal cancer that has spread through the body (metastatic) and/or cannot be removed with surgery (unresectable). Participants will be assigned randomly to the tucatinib group or standard of care group. The tucatinib group will get tucatinib, trastuzumab, and mFOLFOX6. The standard of care group will get either: - mFOLFOX6 alone, - mFOLFOX6 with bevacizumab, or - mFOLFOX6 with cetuximab mFOLFOX6 is a combination of multiple drugs. All of the drugs given in this study are used to treat this type of cancer.
The use of intrauterine device (IUD) in Brazil is still not very significant and one of the reasons is the fear of feeling pain during its insertion procedure. Articaine is an amide-linked local anesthetic, its plasma half-life is shorter than that of most other amide-type anesthetics, which makes it theoretically favorable in relation to systemic toxicity.
This is a 3-part study. Part A is randomized, double-blinded, placebo-controlled and includes patients with eosinophilic gastritis and/or duodenal-only disease. After completing Part A, participants can continue to Part C - open-label benralizumab treatment period. Following the decision to close enrollment, patients in both Part A and Part C will be given the option to proceed to 6-months of open-label benralizumab treatment in Part D.
The objective of this single-center retrospective observational study is to describe spirometric abnormalities and their impact on 6-minute walk test (6MWT) and the physical component summary (PCS) of the SF-36 quality of life instrument.at least 3 months later discharge hospital.
This study aims to examine the effect of ketamine in decreasing the risk of suicide in patients with depression and its effectiveness as an antidepressant agent.
Prospective, single-center, double blind, double dummy, randomized trial. Platelet function tests and adenosine levels were assessed at baseline and 15 days after taking Ticagrelor with Prasugrel placebo or Prasugrel with Ticagrelor placebo in stable patients with coronary artery disease
