Study SBX-01-101: A Stool Collection Study in Colorectal Cancer (CRC) Patients Treated With Irinotecan-Based Regimens

Start date: March 27, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The primary objective of the study is to determine whether there is a correlation between the intestinal side effects of chemotherapy treatment and the expression/activity profiles of glucuronidase enzymes in the stool microbiome of the target patient population.

NCT ID: NCT05818267 Recruiting - Colorectal Cancer Clinical Trials

Efficacy and Safety of Regorafenib Maintenance Therapy in Patients With Metastatic Colorectal Cancer (mCRC)

Start date: June 26, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Regorafenib in third-line treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer(mCRC) significantly prolongs the survival of patients, and its advancement has a sensitizing effect on postline chemotherapy and thus improves the prognosis of patients. Therefore, the present study was designed to include patients who achieved stable disease/partial response(SD/PR) after 3 months of second-line therapy and advance regorafenib to investigate the role of advance regorafenib in prolonging progression-free survival, prolonging the efficacy of overall survival, safety, and quality of life in patients with mCRC compared with standard second-line and third-line therapy.

NCT ID: NCT05816902 Completed - Colorectal Cancer Clinical Trials

AI Prediction Model and Risk Stratification for Lung Metastasis in Colorectal Cancer

Start date: January 1, 2016
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Background: To assist clinicians with diagnosis and optimal treatment decision-making, we attempted to develop and validate an artificial intelligence prediction model for lung metastasis (LM) in colorectal cancer (CRC) patients. Method: The clinicopathological characteristics of 46037 CRC patients from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) database and 2779 CRC patients from a multi-center external validation set were collected retrospectively. After feature selection by univariate and multivariate analyses, six machine learning (ML) models, including logistic regression, K-nearest neighbor, support vector machine, decision tree, random forest, and balanced random forest (BRF), were developed and validated for the LM prediction. The optimization model with best performance was compared to the clinical predictor. In addition, stratified LM patients by risk score were utilized for survival analysis.

NCT ID: NCT05815082 Recruiting - Colorectal Cancer Clinical Trials

ctDNA-guided Adjuvant Chemotherapy in Liver Metastasis of Colorectal Cancer

Start date: February 20, 2023
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this clinical trial is to compare in resectable colorectal cancer liver metastasis patients. The main question it aims to answer is whether the 3-year progression-free survival rate (PFS) of "watching and waiting" is non-inferior to adjuvant chemotherapy in postoperative ctDNA-negative resectable colorectal cancer liver metastasis patients.Participants will undergo ctDNA testing after resection of colorectal cancer liver metastasis, and will be randomly assigned to receive adjuvant chemotherapy or "watching and waiting" treatment strategy. The researchers will compare the outcomes between the two groups to see if the PFS between the two groups is similar.

NCT ID: NCT05813028 Recruiting - Colorectal Cancer Clinical Trials

The Effect of a Mobile Application on Patient Outcomes in Colorectal Cancer Patients

Start date: July 15, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this study is to determine the effect of the interactive nurse support program developed as a mobile application on patient outcomes (symptom management, quality of life, perception of social support and anxiety) in colorectal cancer patients receiving chemotherapy during the COVID-19 process; It was planned in a randomized controlled, single-blind design. In the study, a mobile application will be designed for colorectal cancer patients with the content created in line with the literature. In the application, the "about COVID-19" module, which includes information for colorectal cancer patients during the COVID-19 process, the "learning module" in which the symptoms and suggestions for colorectal cancer patients receiving chemotherapy are included, the "discussion" module where patients can share their knowledge and experiences with each other, The "ask the expert" module, where nurses and physicians can ask questions, will be comprised of the "lived stories" module and the communication sections, which include interview videos made with individuals who are in remission only after completing the treatment related to the disease. A pretest consisting of Personal Information Form, Multidimensional Perceived Social Support Scale EORTC QLQ-C30 and CR29 Quality of Life Scale, ECOG Performance Scale and Beck Anxiety Scale will be administered to all patients included in the study. The mobile application will be installed on the phones of the patients in the experimental group and they will be used for 12 weeks. Patients in the control group will receive standard care during this process and no intervention will be made. In the sixth and twelve weeks, all participants will be given a posttest. The change in symptom management, quality of life, perceived social support and anxiety levels of the experimental group after mobile application use will be evaluated.

NCT ID: NCT05803746 Recruiting - Colorectal Cancer Clinical Trials

PD-L2 Targeting Nanobody Radiotracer for PET Imaging of Solid Tumor

Start date: July 15, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The objective of this study is to construct a noninvasive approach using 68Ga- Mirc415 PET/CT to detect the PD-L2 expression of tumor lesion in patients with colorectal cancer, lung cancer and other solid tumor to identify patients benefiting from anti-PD-(L)1 treatment.

NCT ID: NCT05801965 Active, not recruiting - Prostate Cancer Clinical Trials

A Digital Therapeutic Solution for Cancer Patients

Start date: April 6, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This is a randomized, controlled trial to assess the feasibility of Sidekick Health's digital programs for cancer patients. Participants will be treated with standard of care (SoC) in combination with the digital programs, or SoC only. We will compare the effect of the digital programs in addition to SoC to SoC only, on the cancer-related quality of life (QoL), cancer-related fatigue, and side-effect management.

NCT ID: NCT05799976 Completed - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Text Message-Based Nudges Prior to Primary Care Visits to Increase Care Gap Closure

Start date: September 5, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Primary care visits are a key aspect of clinical care focused on helping patients to close care gaps related to preventive care such as vaccination, diabetes testing, statin therapy and cancer screening. However, less than 50% of care gaps are closed during these visits and new approaches are needed to prime patients for a discussion during these visits. In this study, the study team will evaluate a health system initiative that uses text messaging to patients in days preceding a primary care visit to prime patients to be amenable to ordering of vaccination, diabetes testing, cancer screening, and statin prescribing.
