Outcome Assessment in Patients Treated With Hyperbaric Oxygen Using OxyVu Tissue Oxygenation Monitoring System

HBOT
Start date: August 2008
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

The objective is to define patient eligibility for hyperbaric oxygen therapy and to evaluate wound healing progression using a new hyperspectral imaging technology.

NCT ID: NCT00940641 Suspended - Metabolism Clinical Trials

Assess the Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism and Excretion of AZD7325 After Intravenous and Oral Administration

Start date: August 2009
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the absorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion of AZD7325 after intravenous and 14C labeled oral dose

NCT ID: NCT00964561 Suspended - Anthrax Clinical Trials

Ph1 Study of Valortim and Ciprofloxacin in Humans

Start date: August 2009
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of short-term dosing of IV ciprofloxacin when administered concomitantly with IV Valortim in healthy normal human subjects.

NCT ID: NCT01146587 Suspended - Stroke, Acute Clinical Trials

Comparative Study of GangTrainer GT1, Lokomat and Conventional Physiotherapy

galop
Start date: August 2010
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The GangTrainer GT I and the Lokomat have proven their effectiveness on stroke Patients, but a comparison on the same controlled study population has not been made so far. Aim of the study will not only be to establish which device will work better on acute, non ambulatory stroke Patients in terms of regain of gait ability and motor function, but also clinical matters, like the efficacy of the treatment period. As a result of the trial it should be highlighted which kind of therapy has to be suggested for Patients comparable to the study population. A significant better outcome of one device in regard to the other will suggest to use one device more than the other for future treatments.

NCT ID: NCT01182974 Suspended - Sepsis Clinical Trials

Paracetamol Toxicity in Septic Patients

Start date: August 2010
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The investigators will examine the toxicity of therapeutic doses of paracetamol in patients in severe sepsis. Patients with fever and severe sepsis will be randomized to receive paracetamol or dypirone. The investigators will monitor blood glutathione and liver enzymes to look for potential toxicity.

NCT ID: NCT01201993 Suspended - Recurrence Clinical Trials

Clinical and Laboratory Characteristics of Patients Admitted With Syncope; Diagnosis and Follow up After These Patients

Start date: August 2010
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

The investigators hypothesis is that a significant number of patients may remain without specific cause and have recurrent syncope with its associated physical and mental morbidity.

NCT ID: NCT01083966 Suspended - Clinical trials for Vestibular Schwannoma

Super-Selective Intraarterial Cerebral Infusion of Bevacizumab (Avastin) for Treatment of Vestibular Schwannoma

Start date: August 2011
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

A recent study by Plotkin et al. showed that bevacizumab (Avastin) treatment was followed by clinically meaningful hearing improvement, tumor-volume reduction, or both in some, but not all, patients with Vestibular Schwannoma (VS) who were at risk for complete hearing loss or brain-stem compression from growing VS. Because of the promising results in preliminary studies of Bevacizumab and because of significant experience with the safety of the dosages proposed in this study, this study will offer a safe treatment for patients with VS. Therefore, this phase I clinical research trial will test the hypothesis that Bevacizumab can be safely used by direct intracranial superselective intraarterial infusion up to a dose of 10mg/kg to ultimately enhance survival and hearing function of patients with VS.

NCT ID: NCT01305018 Suspended - Inflammation Clinical Trials

Branched-chain Amino Acids Supplementation and Resistance Exercise-induced Muscle Damage and Inflammation

Start date: August 2011
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study aims to evaluate the effects of branched-chain amino acids (BCAA) supplementation on resistance exercise-induced muscle damage and inflammation.

NCT ID: NCT01305148 Suspended - Atrial Fibrillation Clinical Trials

Warfarin Adverse Event Reduction For Adults Receiving Genetic Testing at Therapy INitiation (WARFARIN)

WARFARIN
Start date: August 2011
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The WARFARIN Study is a clinical trial designed to determine if the use of genetic information related to warfarin sensitivity can help create a dose of warfarin that will result in less hospitalizations and deaths related to warfarin.

NCT ID: NCT01545960 Suspended - Healthy Individuals Clinical Trials

Evaluating Acupuncture Points With Scanning Kelvin Probe

Start date: August 2011
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

The purpose of this study is to characterize the surface electrical potential of acupuncture points with a Scanning Kelvin Probe.
