This study is to determine the safety and tolerability of regular insulin (Humulin R) when given intranasally (as drops in nostrils). Healthy participants will be enrolled to determine the maximum tolerated dose of intranasal insulin.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics (PK) of JNJ-77242113 after single ascending oral dose administration as an immediate-release (IR) tablet formulation in healthy Japanese participants and after single oral dose administration as an IR tablet formulation in healthy Chinese participants; and as a delayed release (DR) tablet formulation in healthy Japanese participants.
The aim of this randomized cross-over study is to investigate how consumption of protein and fat affects the FGF21 response triggered by sucrose. The hypothesis is that the consumption of protein, but not fat, will attenuate the FGF21 response triggered by sucrose. Exploratory, and in order to investigate mechanisms behind the potential attenuation in the sucrose-induced FGF21 response after protein consumption, glucose, insulin, glucagon, triglycerides, amino acids, glicentin and cholecystokinin (CCK) will be assessed before and after consumption of sucrose, sucrose+protein and sucrose+fat. Furthermore, the association between the FGF21 response after consumption of sucrose, sucrose + protein and sucrose + fat and subjective rating of appetite for sweet will also be investigated.
The primary goal of this study is to assess the impact of the two major disease modifying therapy (DMT) classes (B cell therapies and S1P modulators) on humoral and cell-mediated immunity to SARS- CoV-2 vaccination compared to non-MS controls. We have chosen to compare DMT-treated MS patients to non-MS controls because the pivotal vaccine studies were conducted in non-MS healthy control groups in which there is significant clinical data and validated assays for antibody responses.
To evaluate the safety, tolerability and pharmacokinetics of single intravenous doses of FL058 in healthy Chinese subjects.
Phase 1 Study of the Safety, Tolerability, and Pharmacokinetics of FL058 and Meropenem Alone and in Combination following Single and Multiple Doses in Healthy Adult Subjects.
To evaluate the safety, tolerability and pharmacokinetics of single-multiple intravenous doses of FL058 in healthy Chinese subjects.
This is a dietary intervention study, which aims to explore different diet challenges for glucose metabolism, including carbohydrates and intermittent fasting (IF) dietary pattern. Considering the glucose responses to the same food are largely heterogeneous among people, this study integrates the concepts of precision nutrition and N-of-1 design. The study also aims to explore differences in brain structure and function between participants with different Body Mass Index (BMI) from the perspective of gut-brain axis.
The main purpose of this study is to assess how fast LY3502970 gets into the blood stream and how long it takes the body to remove it when administered in multiple oral doses as new formulation compared to that of reference LY3502970 formulation. Information about safety and tolerability will be collected. The study is open to healthy participants. The study is conducted in two parts and it will last up to about 6 months, inclusive of screening period.
